SWLR Just back in SW London.

Amazing night, beat the trip to West Essex and I didn't think I would say that.

Only super Mac would bring on a striker for a midfielder and go on to win the game.

In Saints defence can I just say they organise an excellent park-and-ride.

I disagree. There should be more exits from the car park.

Fezza Delighted...

Hope Southampton now do enough to get second place!

This. And Cummings was superb in first half - not forgetting Feds two "saves for the cameras" TM Bandini

Thought Saints fans were bloody loud (after they scored). You get it in the neck from left and right and it makes a great atmosphere!

I can't tell you much about the game, it's all a blur. When they scored early in the second half I just kept saying "a point will do, hold on, hold on", but to break away and steal all three points is mental.

That is promotion guaranteed tonight. I think Brighton will have West Ham tomorrow and then we can do it against Forest in front of our own fans...

My hands are still shaking!

How the actual fukk did we win that? Centre mid was dreadful, full marks to BMac for subbing Tabb and going for it. Won us the game.

Just goes to show that football is all about scoring more goals than the other side.

Oh, apart from centre midfield being totally anonymous, the one moment of pure class came from Noel for the stepover for ALFs first. Class.

Agreed. Mullins was terrible. Tabb isn't brilliant but he puts himself on the line for you.

I just didn't want to leave the stadium. First few minutes a very loud home side singing we are top of the league. Great cross from Jimmy and power header from Roberts and we are singing we are top of the league. Second half, Southampton start like an express train, score and for the next half an hour as cross after cross hurtles into our box they are singing we are top of the league. Then great Le Fondre goal after another Jimmy assist and we are singing we are top of the league.

Then the third goal led to mass hysteria from us and mass exit from them.

And on the way back great to hear from the Saints fans on the radio on how much better they were than us and all we did was score three goals and how lucky we were.

A truly great night. Hope the Hammers fans are all whinging too.

That is the icing on the cake for me. Big Sam was hoping we would drop points in this game and we stole all three. They're heads will be down tomorrow and Brighton have a great chance of taking all three points! I hope they get them too, I'd like to see Brighton go up through the play-offs over West Ham, Birmingham or Blackpool.

Oxf*rd brilliant. Everything was perfect.
Things I loved:
Concourse was mental before the game and at HT.
Atmosphere was fantastic throughout
Roberts scored a header
Le Fondre is magic
I broke my seat from jumping upon it
After Le Fondre scored the 3rd there was a huge scrum of mental fans at the bottom of the stand in which I was elbowed on the face twice and kicked on the shins
Bill Oddie got a few outings
The bus journey to the car park was great
Started the 'car horn chants' in the park and ride car park, similar to Cardiff last season.
I have no voice
McDermott is in the top 5 managers in the country IMO.

Own up: who was the pillock that punched the emergency light out going down to the concourse after the game?

Can't believe some of the comments about Mullins. Just watched the game again paying particular attention to him. It was a really disciplined defensive midfielder performance. He sat in all night, got a foot in when he had to and was always quick to pick up the spare man in front of the defence. Granted not first choice, but he did a quality job tonight and played a key role for the team

As I mentioned elsewhere earlier, my gf is a Romford lass. Can't wait to walk through the market in my old hoops during the summer

Road trips under BM have to be the best under any Reading manager. Pool, Everton WBA in the cup Forrest 4-3 Cardiff 3-0 Brizzle 3-2 Ipswich 3-2 West Ham 4-2 and tonight is the icing on the cake I oxf*rd love this club.
