Snowball IMO, PotS 2010-11

would happily get my vote- but i guess it would mean a little less to him than the one he got for his actual playing, so would be pointless. im sure he would much rather have the proceeds of a charity game go to MS research

'greed

Reading team managed by Coppell against a Sheffield United side managed by Warnock?

IN for that, and I'd happily pay £50 quid a ticket too.

What a trooper for trying to continue playing, and when he did, looked every bit the championship player despite his illness.

A fantastic player for us throughout his RFC career and I wish him all the best for the future.

Chris, when we win the cup, I want you to lift it first.

Very sad news, and it puts all the bitching and moaning over the past couple of days into perspective.

Gutted for him, really sad news. With his determination sure that he will be a success in whatever he does now. As others have said, makes sense why he wasn't featuring in the team and is really impressive he managed to play as many games as he did.

That will leave us with NO replacement! What if Harte is injured? Griffin and Cummings are currently out and we only have 1 fit left back! :o

GOD SAVE THE ROYALS

Dreadful dreadful news.

You can only take comfort from knowing that someone of his courage and determination will find a way of living with this cruel disease.

Only just caught all this. He carried on playing when diagnosed?

That, sir, makes you a legend.

Agreed. He must have been so torn between keeping his career alive and not letting down the boys on the pitch. Such a crying shame for the lad.

Makes me positive for his future and that he won't just shut down and give up like my oxf*rd of a father. Not that I'm bitter or ought.

So, to celebrate his career and support his future, I presume something noticeable could be arranged for the home game with Sheffield United??

Banners, chants, collections for MS charities etc. - are STAR planning anything on this?

Depends if Armstrong wants to do this before STAR get involved. I personally think it's too soon to do anything like this. Obviously it would be a good idea in the future though.

There is a hope he will come back for the Ex-Royals Charity match on June 3rd.

The Royal Families Race Night was for the MS society and Duchess of Kent Hospice and I think ex-royals charity match is for the same charities.
