I notice that on twitter reading fc who normally retweet just about every tweet have totally ignored any slightly critical ones concerning these clappers

ZacNaloen

Only having read bits and bobs if STAR are only assisting the club in distribution why is the STAR banner on them?

But I still have the piece of white paper used for the making of the hoops for the QPR game.

A few of my friends have been blocked by @Readingfc because they commented how embarrassing these are and unnecessary when the atmosphere has been as good as it has been recently. So we're entitled to an opinion now either. Very petty, and fwiw, none of the comments I've seen were out of order or abusive.

I don't understand where these marketing people get the idea that any random loud noise = atmosphere

Atmosphere is generated via a positive feeling around the club, and having something to get behind on the pitch.

And alcohol.

And if you do opt for something like this, why not pick a time when the team and atmosphere are struggling? We've been on an amazing run of form and the fans have have reacted to it both vocally and in numbers. It isn't needed or wanted. I just can't fathom who comes up with the idea and then who OK's it.

I'm just glad the game isn't live on telly!

I remember when arsenal had these and it was live on telly.

It not only sounded shit, it didn't get any atmosphere going either.

They look worse than expected...

On the subject of twitter, RFC also seem happy to reply to any questions regarding seating, megastore, team etc yet when I ask about the Birmingham shambLOLes or why they needed to produce clappers I am always ignored... :|

A bit disappointing that the club chose to ignore fans questions rather than answer them. Seems any negative comments are just swept aside in favour of the ''I love you Reading Come on URZZZZ' type fans.

If ever there was a reason not to be a member of STAR next season then this is it. Your membership fee will be well spent!

I see the 'banners' are being handed out in the concourse as opposed to being placed on seats. A sensible option really so i am going to presume there is limited availability.

In which case we should all take one, then rip it in half and leave it under our seats. Less is more.

A cunning plan. so if i ask for 10 will i get them. It might look suspicious going in and out of the toilets with them though.
