So essentially, our starting line up against Man Utd on the 11th August should be:

Federici

New RB - Pearce - Gorkss - New LB

Vicente/Kebe - Jem - Leigertwood - McAnuff

New ST - Hunt/Roberts

Subs: McCarthy, New CB, Cummings, Makoun, Vicente/Kebe, Le Fondre, Hunt/Roberts

8)

Stoke City's top scout was at Blackpool watching Matt Phillips today.

Matt Mills
Thomas Ince
Ricky Lambert
Vicente
Kevin Doyle
Steven Sidwell
Nicky Shorey
GYLFI SIGGURDSON

No premier league journeymen please! Used to losing! Hungry talent only! And a few for old times sake!

Harry Kane is another! Been on loan in league 1 and the championship! Is a different player to Roberts, Hunt and Le Fondre! Big strong and a natural goal scorer! His goals to games ratio is ridicoulas and is very highly rated at spurs! We wouldn't be able to sign him permanently but could prob get a season long loan

I'd say:
Connolly
Mullins
Jarvis
Jay Rodriguez or Stephen Fletcher or Ross McCormack or all 3
Gylfi or Whittingham

This sounds good to me, Fletcher would be a fantastic signing. That little backheel in today's game against Sunderland was brilliant. I think that other teams will be in for him and Jarvis, could see him ending up at either Sunderland or Villa - he played over 150 games for Hibs so you'd imagine a manager such as McLeish or O'Neill with a real knowledge of that league would know him very well. I'd be shocked to see either of the two at Wolves next year.

I think either Matt Phillips or Thomas Ince would be really good additions.

I was thinking about Matthew Briggs as a possible LB, but apparently he didn't have a great time at Peterborough  I just don't think I could stand the embarrassment of signing Wayne Bridge.

A quick centre Back,
Ryan Bertrand (no chance),
Charlie Adam,(probably a more affordable version of Gylfi nowadays, not wanted by Liverpool, and always struck me as "a bigger fish in a small pond" type character - probably no chance)
Chris Burke,
A big African centre forward, probably from the French League

Fabio on loan if we go up?

If we don't think Harte can hack a full season and want a bit more pace. We might have to change the way we play a bit but if we go 4-5-1 he could be very good.

Don't wanna throw a spanner in here but is L'wood good enough for Prem?

I know he has been quality this season but is he up to the Prem standard?

I think Jem could step up but would like to see a creative centre mid to push the pair of them. A left back - Cresswell of Ipswich would do nicely. Plus a covering centre half of course. Would like us to get Stephen fletcher too.

I don't know who will be good enough, I guess we'll find out soon enough, but I do agree we need to add an attack minded midfielder into the centre. If we invite sides to attack us in the Premiership we will be ripped to be pieces, whereas in this league we seem to be able to soak it up and hit on the break.

Fair point FL, I guess we just don't know who will step up their game, depending on who BMcD trusts to do the business in the best league in the world.

Ledge will do alright for next season but going forward we need someone to replace him and strengthen that position.

Wonder if Frimpong will be available on loan?

How has Victor Moses done for Wigan, was sublime in his last game at the Madejski
