royalsroyalsroyals92 Don't know if this has been posted any where but it makes for quite interesting reading.
Especially Zingaravic's 4 point plan to success for Reading.

Is that the article where they talk about our failing youth system?

Surprised no-one else has posted this yet, so I suppose I'll have to...
Sir John, speaking to R5Live said, not "We've got tremendous spirit in the team and a great dressing room and manager. It's all geared towards the club doing well.

"Brian McDermott has been with club for over 11 years as manager, reserve manager and scout - he knows the club inside out and brought most of the players so there is a fantastic chemistry. When you get a situation when everyone is playing for each other with a strong camaraderie, things go well."

I've been at helm for 22 years and have always expressed a willingness to step aside if we could find a suitable investor with very deep pockets.

"It's all well getting to the Premier League but you need deep investment to stay there. We've found very pleasant people in the Zingarevichs, who will continue to do things the Reading way. It bodes well for Reading and I hope they will take club much further.

"If I can take Reading into the Premier League, job done. If we get there the club will be worth a lot more but I'm not here to make money - I'm here to make sure Reading prospers in the future.

"I'll be staying on as chairman. If anything it [the takeover] is a fantastic insurance policy. We'll strengthen as we see fit. We've already strengthened and that will carry on. What I don't want is people thinking Reading are an open cheque book. We will be as careful as we have been in the past."

So, does that mean he's woth 2 billion or he made a billion, lost it and then made another billion?

There's a lot of cuff and chops slapping being discussed today.

What's the plan tonight? All throw our keys into the centre circle? :?

I think you'll find it already posted on this thread, but yes, if I could be bothered to look. There's been quotes of approx £120m to £180m of his personal wealth, but he is also the face of a consortium I thought, so his personal wealth wont mean much to us if true. If his Dad is involved as well then brilliant, he's a billionaire twice over - though we're told from the off the club will remain 'prudent' and 'careful', and not going to throw money around like 'drunken sailors'..

Stadium expansion in the second year, and massive scouting being done. AZ says we have a short list drawn up.

Zingarevichs interview is the kind of thing you want to hear from a new owner.

Lets hope he follows through with it.
