7th ( i think) Reading promotion I've experienced. 2006 will always be very special, but in some ways this time is even better. I certainly think Brian's achievement outdoes even Coppell's.

Really proud of everyone at the club - they did it as a fantastic team, and did it with class (in contrast with the distinctly lacking in class approach of some other clubs we could all name. Some of whom face the play-offs now with their over-paid, arrogant players. Others of whom couldn't even make the play-offs.)

Regarding the pitch invasion, were any Reading players a bit miffed by the proximity of the fans? On the BBC video Pearcey looks a bit anxious...

MmmMonsterMunch

Someone put this on the Forest forum & said "Didn't know Plan B was a steward".

Elokobi in trouble for allegedly assaulting a steward after the game:

Police are investigating a claim that a steward was pushed to the ground by Nottingham Forest player George Elokobi at the end of a game on Tuesday night.

Reading FC had just clinched promotion to the Premier League when the steward attempted to escort the away player off the pitch at the Madejski Stadium.

The 50-year-old reported to police he needed stitches after he was pushed to the floor causing him to bang his head.

Left-back Elokobi is currently on loan from Premier League side Wolves.

The game on Tuesday ended 1-0 to the Royals, which ensured their automatic promotion back to the top flight.

Nottingham Forest have yet to comment.

As I said earlier, I saw this happen in the tunnel. He went absolutely mental, steamed back out towards the pitch and had a go at the steward. About 5 or 6 Forest players had to drag him back.

In his way in to the dressing room he then punch the dressing room door. Had that had been somebody's head it would no longer be connected to the rest of their body. Absolute monster.

The madness of King George!!!

Maybe its because he realised at the end of the game that whilst we will be playing with the big boys net season.. For him, whether he stays at Forest or goes back to Wolves.. Barnsley away is his destiny....

Chin up son!! :D
