Royal Prince
royal-biscuit-man £40 train from Reading to Brum?! Cheapest I can find so far

If you look back across the thread the tip is to split the journey. Get a return from Reading to Banbury, then a return from Banbury to Birmingham. You still get the same train and don't even have to get off, it's a neat little loop hole that will save you £13.80

Cheers!

Banbury is in the Network Rail zone so make sure you use a railcard etc for the first leg if you can.

I paid £24.80 for the overall journey FYI

I didn't even order any and yet Reading FC Direct have posted me half a dozen Brum tickets and a Kingsley soft toy.
