Ups and Downs It's been well publicised how we managed to claw our way back from a ropey position in November to win automatic promotion, but is it the greatest comeback in the history of English football?
I remember Crystal Palace being in the relegation zone at Christmas and then coming back to 6th place and going on to win the playoffs, but ours is surely a greater achievement and therefore the Greatest Comeback In English Football History.
Right?

Ups and Downs Palace got 73 points in total that year. I don't know how many they had on Christmas day. If we knew that then we could get all mathematical and work this shit out.
That millwall collapse doesn't even sound possible.

22 points after 22 games I think.
So that's 51 points from 72

Ian Royal Yeah, it's fair enough points wise. It just seems a bit different going from relegation zone to promoted.

Technically we were in the relegation zone....we were 23rd after 4 games. Only Donny below us..

Ian Royal For Millwall, may well have mis remembered / invented it. But in '95 they had 32 points after 16 games (34 after 18) which is title form. And finished 22nd on 52.

Ha ha! Was there any reason for the collapse? A change of manager? Sale of a player?
