I have a source at the Birmingham Mail.

It's only an enquiry. Who knows what they want!

This is Friday's Legacy. The guy is spot on. And for the record it's true. WWFC have just said so themselves.

Would absolutely love this. Class player.

Just from last weekend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLExcL8I ... re=related

Awful quality I know but you can see it the second time round.

I've seen your tweet about it and Soccer Sauce are running it too, and Jarvis possibly to Newcastle or Liverpool.

You've got the last 3 right so lets hope so. He would be a top draw signing :!: :!:

It's only an approach at this stage.

Heard the same thing. Only an enquiry, no offer as of yet. Would be a good solid signing. Have a feeling this section of HNA is going to be busy this summer.

There have been rumours of Jarvis to Stoke too, and someone on that 'football-rumours' site says that as a result Etherington would be on his way to us. Would make sense but obviously a hugely unreliable source. Could be quite cheap too.

Some bad news found this on bbc sport:

"Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill is planning a swoop for Wolves striker Steven Fletcher, who is set to move on if the Molineux club are relegated. The Scotland striker cost £7m from Burnley in 2010."

:(

There's a lot up there way that we've shown interest in Fletcher and they're not happy. One was saying it was disrespectful of us considering they could still stay up!

But yeah, it's only an enquiry so nothing to get excited about. But it's a show of ambition I'd say.

I think you got more chance of Pigs flying than Wolves staying up

He doesn't strike me as the sort of guy that would fit "the Reading way". But he's a quality striker.

Very good player, and one I'd hoped we might sign when he left Hibs, or a bit early when he seemed like he might've been a good replacement for Kitson.

Now he's scored goals in a pretty poor Premier League side he could be quite sought after when they go down.

Not sure why anyone would think he doesn't fit the Reading way though. He looks hard working enough and not a big time charlie from what I've seen of him.

To my mind he's probably the right kind of profile of player we want. Proven to some extent, but not established enough to think he'll be doing us a favour by coming to play.

His heading is amazing, I can really see him working in our wing-heavy style of play. Sing him up, McD!

Must admit, thought he'd scored one of the wonder goals in the Burnley Play-Off.... :?

Yes please! Him and Roberts up front i think would be a very solid PL front pairing and would not look amiss and down the bottom of the league i think they'd be up there with one of the best partnerships. As said already in these threads its already exciting that we're being linked with more players like this; i understand majority are probably bullsh!t but thats the fun of the window and promotion :)

If we're down the bottom of the league, they'll be one of the best partnerships. Can't see many low PL teams having a pairing like Fletcher and Roberts which, IMO would work very well
