No Fixed Abode Like I said at the start of the season. Not getting in the top 4 would be a disaster for Liverpool. After ALL that money they spent. Even if they win the FA Cup, it's no consolation.

I didn't know you cared so much. Buy yourself a new chamois and man-up.

Apparently Woy has won as many league games at Anfield in 2012 as Dalglish.

Another stat. Blackburn Rovers have scored more goals than Liverpool this season. Shocking when you think how much Liverpool have spent.

As you are using pointless stats apparently bottom club Wolves have had more shots at goal and corners this week than Chelsea and they have only played one game compared to Chelsea's two.
BTW Liverpool had 15 shots on target today and the same number of corners which shows that they are lacking in the striking department and to illustrate how bad they are in the league this season they are 2 places below Chelsea;now that is poor and next season they really have to do better because just beating Chelsea every time they play them is nothing to celebrate when they fail against teams like Wigan,Stoke and West Brom.

... loved the Beeb Text 'Live' updates towards the end - every other line was "Free Kick awarded to WBA for Martin Skrtel - foul on Shane Long"

True - but then Liverpool have spent more than us over the last 6 years.

I don't disagree with your general points Ideal, but I'd be interested what proportion of Liverpool's shots off target have come courtesy of the likes of Kuyt, Suarez and Carroll, who are unlikely to have contributed to many of the speculative efforts from 25 yards of which you speak.

Ideal So to sum it up: the problem is not that their strikers are poor, the problem is they have about 6 one-paced central midfielders, and no wingers. That's all there is too it.
If your chances are limited to long range shots from in the middle of the pitch at ranges of 25 metres that go straight at the keeper, you are not likely to score.
Feel free to disagree, but I am dead on the money here.

A lot of your post above makes a lot of sense Ideal, but this bit is quite a way off the mark.

Liverpool have created lots of good chances all over the pitch this season, many many of them within the box where the forwards, midfielders and defenders have all missed very good chances on alarming basis (if you're a Liverpool fan).

Whilst Liverpool's ability to miss the target or contrive a way not to score with the chances they've created is quite stunning and amusing, it's also quite odd. They've had keepers play brilliantly against them, and they've had players waste good chances, but the end result is a shocking home record which must be infuriating to watch.

Whatever people's feelings about Luis Suarez you would have to go a long way to see a better hat-trick than what he has just scored against Norwich.
Left-foot,right-foot and then the coup de grace.
Well worth catching Match of the Day for as well as Wigan's thrashing of high-flying Newcastle (Champions League you're having a laugh).

Yeah, Newcastle losing to Wigan shows that they don't deserve to be in the CL, it's not like Wigan have beaten two of the other CL representatives from England in recent weeks...

Live pic from Anfield tonight. Plenty of spares if anyone is up this way and wants to pay £44 for a nothing game.

Fuck I would hate to be a Liverpool fan right now.

I have a fair few friends that are L'pool fans, and I have epic lols at their expense.
