Kenny doesn't have the nous to spot Gylfi. He'll be looking at bringing in Church for 20m or something.

andrew1957 If Hoffenheim are just interested in increasing their financial return then a season long loan to RFC might suit everyone.

1/ If they sell now they will most likely only get 10-12M max
2/ A full successful season in the PL next time and his price could easily go to 20M plus
3/ If they loan him to Swansea again they might suffer from second season syndrome - so a new loan could be beneficial
4/ RFC have a financial incentive to make him an even more expensive player as we will get a cut of the much higher fee.

I would welcome him back even if it was for just one season. We could then spend all next season scouting for a replacement to bring in - assuming we survive.

Makes some sense, and would be very nice...

So he has been priced at £10m by his club. Not surprisingly a host of big clubs have been are interested. If the speculation is to be believed Gilfi can take his pick.

Good luck to the lad -hopefully we will benefit from a sell on clause.

Corrected for you - I REALLY hate it when 'big' clubs bang on about where they belong. They are where they deserve to be.

'greed. I was only taking the pi55 out of those people. I've heard it a couple of times during the last week and it's annoyed me.

Incredibly Sir Mad used it in the post-Forest interview. Could have kicked him for that. If only he'd used the 'where we deserve to be'.

Yeah, we belong in League One. We deserve to be in the Premier League. Give it another 10 - 20 years and we might be able to say we belong in the Championship or even Premier League.

Hopefully we won't deserve to be in League One.

If we have a 25% sell on fee, and can afford it, let's offer them £10m, which is more than they'll get if they sell him to someone else.

When does his contract run out though? There's no point loaning him out for a season if it takes him too close to the end of his contract as it would probably negate the increase a good seasons form for us may cause.

Third only to be followed by a bigger cringe, when he said the Russians have plans to take us in to Europe.

Look, Russians. Just bid like, 200m on this guy. We love Sig and he loves us. Are you seriously going to put a price on love?

Think people should start giving a bit more credit to Anton... Without him we probably wouldn't have been able to fund Roberts' wages, our best players may not have had as much financial incentive to fight as hard as they did from promotion and we definitely wouldn't be looking at the like of Zaha and Clyne for £8m, let alone Gylfi. He's potentially opening up possibilities that in the past were waaaaaaaaay out of our reach.

To be frank we've moved on a long way from the club we were at Elm Park, and other than historically, there's no measure at all that would suggest we are a club that ought to be in League One now. It's completely nuts to suggest we haven't established ourselves at championship level.

As for Gylfi. If he was available for £6 million, I think we'd have him. At £10 million, I just can't see it at all, even with the new money.
