Edit: A quick Google search shows they openly admitted to losing £33.5 million. So the rest of the football league would have received an average of around £470k per club. That is not to be sniffed at for any club!

I'm certain they are, especially knowing they could well be here next season with the biggest wage bill of all and having to trim it in dramatic style for next season.

It's a sliding scale isn't it? 100% of everything from £10m on wards, with a lesser percentage down to 1% for £100k. So Newcastle would have been fined less than £33.5m but significantly more than £23.5m.

Do u have a source? I heard 3 clubs so wondered which. Saints losses are horrendous, so no surprise about them and Leics, but I wouldn't have thought we would vote against, despite the takeover by TSI.

I'm aware of what they've said. Varying sources believe Leeds are one of the clubs; and you cannot ignore West Ham's monstrous wage bill, or Birmingham City's for that matter. Leicester are equally in a lot of trouble with theirs. A friend of mine close to West Ham United believes they voted against as well.

From the conversations STAR have had with the club, if they voted against it is not because they do not want financial fair play but because some of the details need changing. Some of the sanctions were not enough of a disincentive and others were too abrupt in application.

Gut feel (no insider knowledge whatsoever) is that the 3 who would have been most likely to have voted against are West Ham, Leicester & Leeds.

Okay question here, when it comes to spending on say infrastructure. Which genuinely requires debt or large investment from owner/other sources.
