The result was no more than what I expected.

Enjoyed watching 11 and 22 play for Birmingham.

church loaned out? anyone who thinks church should even be part of the rfc set up next season really does not understand the concept of a decent player

Friday's Legacy
W&E Royal On another point, the applause the Brum fans gave us before and after the game was very nice indeed. Not sure we'd do the same at the Madejski.

We gave Robbie Savage a standing ovation, for which he now feels we're his second club it touched him so much; so I imagine we would do.

Yes, you are right.

Royal Prince Could have been an interesting game had Harte converted the penalty, but their keeper flew forwards off his line before the ball was even kicked. Lord only knows how the ref missed that!

Not down to the referee to spot it! It is down to his assistant stood looking along the goal line - or at least he should have been. Clearly looking in completely the wrong direction on this occasion!

Yet another chance for Church to deliver and he totally failed, he was embarassingly bad. Zero threat.

Alf wasn't much better.

Yeah total joke keeper was so far out Harte could have chipped him! Ref might have spotted it then.

MmmMonsterMunch Quite honestly we were awful today.

Missing key players, Cummings, Kebe, Roberts, Hunt, Karacan. What do you expect? Anyway, we weren't awful - just not that great.

Reading fans sing, "On the pitch, on the pitch, on the pitch". Stewards in front of away end look a little anxious and call for reinforcements.

Reading fans then sing, "If Churchy scores, we're on the pitch". Stewards relax completely.

To be fair to Church, he did have a decent volley go just over and would've scored (probably twice) but for some absolutely exceptional defending.

3 things:

Stewards at brum were superb
Churchs first touch is woeful
The people next to me were so boring, didnt sing once, didnt bring inflatables, and complained when my mate stood slightly outside the perimeter of his seat. Bore off.

You mean he was second best best to the defenders? That pretty much sums him up.

'greed. It seems people will look for any excuse to have a go at the lad.

Possibly. But is he really good enough for the Premiership, and if so how many goals will he score? Less than you can count on one hand I would guess......

Didnt think we played too badly actually. On another day Harte scores the pen, ALF takes one of his chances and we win or draw the game. It certainly wasnt as bad as some are making out. Connolly looked like he hadnt played for 6 weeks, surprised he played in truth.

Tabb my MOM for us, thought he was fantastic

Redmond was different gravy though, the kid is exceptional. If Brum dont go up I am certain he will be off to one of the premier league big boys in the summer, if they go up they might be able to hold on to him for a year.

In contrast, the Brum number 8 was one of the worst players I have seen at that level, i was gutted when they took him off, awful awful player!

Townsend, Redmond and their left back all looked very good.
