He was killed in a freak training accident after tripping over Jay Tabb. The club have left it too long to own up, so it's now their dirty little secret...or he couldn't be arsed.

Good luck to him for his next move, his future obviously isn't with us.
I don't blame any player for handing in a transfer request if they're not playing. He doesn't appear to of thrown his toys out and behaved like a knob!

The Rouge Personally, I would find it hard to celebrate winning a trophy if I had not played any pitch minutes.
Graeme Murty was celebrating.

I imagine they were celebrating as a team, just like us fans were. I agree though that I wouldn't feel right accepting a medal when I had no on the pitch (or off the pitch) contribution to winning it, but as a fan I wouldn't say no if they offered me one.

Graeme Murty is now a fan (who would be happy for a lot of people he knows at the club), I am a fan, you are a fan. None of us (I imagine) would feel comfortable being on the pitch and holding the trophy though.

Quite. He always seemed the model professional and I have never heard anything said (by reliable sources) to the contrary. Still, some on this board have to have someone as their scapegoat and if it can't be Church, for whatever reason, then perhaps they make do with Howard.

I wish him all the best for the future and thank him for his commitment to RFC when he was with us, albeit his chances were limited.

Like McCarthy and Andersen you mean?!

both on the bench for quite a few games. And keepers are different.

I'd like to thank him for nothing. Probably in my top 5 most disliked RFC players of all time, can't recall many moments of credit which are due to him

Good riddance, thanks and c ya*

He didn't say that though

Fact is, Howard has had more "pitch minutes" than either of those two

I like Howard

His last minute equaliser vs West Brom has put him in the history books

He was loaned to Millwall for 3 months this season, how did that go? He seemed to be playing pretty regularly for them.

Badly. He has been told he can leave the club this summer.

He was told he could leave in Jan and they didn't follow up their interest, so I would assume it wasn't a successful loan. Mixed feelings from their supporters. Started brightly but then went missing apparently. Some felt he looked over weight and off the pace.

A mate of mine is a Blade, and he said that Howard did exactly the same there too

I liked him, he did a good job for us in our recovery from Rogers & cup run.
It's just we've stepped up & gone beyond him now, with Jem & Ledge etc.

Hope he gets a good move.

When I saw him play there this season he was garbage. Offered nothing going forward, passing piss poor, no tackles of note. Probably one of the most ineffective players Reading has ever signed - up there with Hughie Cheetham.

Brian had some very good performances for us (particularly Cardiff at home in late 2010) and I cannot understand a lot of the negativity towards him, but it is right for him to move on now.

Good luck Brian - hope you find some first team football.
