Burnley to sign Simon Church from Reading for 750,000

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May include a swap deal for Rodriguez

Another hilarious extract from the rumour site. I think Church for Rodriguez would be a fair swap. No £750K needed!

Re: Rodriquez

That's not the first time that rumour has appeared though (minus the fee).

Another one for the pot....

by DOYLERSAROYALER » 02 May 2012 11:04

Reading Football Club are in advancedtalks with Leed United over a £2.5m move for 25 year old prolific goalscorer Ross McCormack. The £2.5m
fee will have significant add onsdepending on goals and appearancesand could stretch up to £4.5m by theend of next season. Leed United have
also been given the option of a part exchange and will have the pick of Sean Morrison, Jay Tabb or Karl Sheppard to add to their promotion
pushing sqaud for next season.

Admittedly this is from "Wildly Wrong and Rarely Right Transfer Rumours" site...but as we have many of them on here already ...what the heck....maybe its Colin's by way of an apology for his teams thuggery at recent game ....but more likely its B...shit :D

He's another of the good Championship players that I think would be a good addition for a promoted side.

I'm not sure we should only be looking in that market though. The majority of the squad will be new to the Premier League and I think it makes a bit of sense to buy in a couple of players with a bit more experience of what's required at that level.

Doesn't he go on goal scoring runs and then score oxf*rd all for ages? I'd rather have someone consistent.

Looked very dangerous against us, but probably a bit too similar to ALF and Hunt (although better than both).

Why even feel the need to post that? McCormack has been a massive failure at Leeds. He certainly wont be stepping up a division any time soon, and look where you got it from?!

20 goals since 2010 (unless this is wrong - 2010 – Leeds United: App 63 Gls 20) I take it he's had a series of injuries? He hasn't had a consistent run in the side and scored a consistent amount of goals to warrant a £2.5m move up a level.

Extract from Leeds section in Guardian end of season blog

Top marks

Ross McCormack by a mile. He's not only a class above everyone else in the team but he's better than 99% of the players in this division. His first touch is Premier League class, and he's capable of taking players on and creating chances for himself. Top goalscorer at the club despite playing half the season on the wing – that tells you everything
.

Re: Speculation - Niko Kranjcar
29 Apr 2012 19:54:23 Reading are keen on Niko Kranjcar from Tottenham. He wants out from and with Spurs likely to sign another midfielder his time is up. Reading, with the new investment money and the cash gained from promotion will have to fork out a fee of around £5m with wages around the £30,000...by Friday's Legacy on 29 Apr 2012 18:22

He's not at all

One of the divisions top scorers over the past four seasons, was outstanding at Cardiff and only injuries prevented him from shining at Leeds before this season.

He's definitely better than Hunt and ALF. But he won't come here.

'Greed.

Quality player, but don't think Leeds will sell him.

I don't see why not, they've been selling others like Howson and Johnson for instance.
