Play Off Question

by oldvictor » 03 May 2012 12:19

Just a quick question on the play offs that thank god we are not in following last years great day with the terrible ending at Wembley. I could not stand the thought of a repeat as it was soul destroying to have all the black jacks cheering and waving their flags.

Is this the forth time in a row Cardiff have been in them but failed to go up ?

Is this the first time that all three clubs that went down from the Premiership that none of them got automatic and all three ended up in the play offs ?

As to who do I want... ...it has to be the weakest team, so Blackpool or Birmingham.

This really doesn't belong here. Unless our team is Cardiff.

I agree this year would be pretty tough to get through the lottery, so glad we don't have to go through it again.
I think Cardiff will nick it, but I would like Blackpool to go up - IMO 4 evenly matched teams so very hard to call

certainly dont recall the same 2 teams meeting in the final twice. Cardiff v Blackpool could be a repeat of 2010.

Unfortunately West Ham will walk these play-offs, they are playing some decent football since we smashed them 4-2

To be honest, I'm actually really looking forward to night. I hope at least one side makes a monumental oxf*rd up so I can let out a bit belly laugh at them. Either that or some kind of natural disaster hitting the Cardiff City Stadium tonight,

I can't decide whether I want West Ham's season to go out with a whimper and for them to lose in the semis, or for them to get through to the final and have their hopes dashed as they get stuffed in front of 90,000.

The latter seems a lot more satisfying.

Nope, 3rd time. You forgot the Great Choke of 2008/09

Honestly, I don't care about any of those teams at all so if anything I'd like West Ham to go through purely so we can play them again next season.

Bet you they don't. I don't even think they will make the final, though I wouldn't bet on that.

West Ham will get through - 2-1 tonight, and 1-1 at home

Birmingham will get through as well...1-1 and 2-0.

Birmingham to win on pens after 0-0 final.

50000 mockneys crying into their jellied eel pies and moaning about muggy Midlands clubs pissing on their history.

Please.

Nolan to miss the penalty that could win it for them, then Vaz te to hit the bar and Burke to score the winning penalty by putting it straight at Green who fumbles and baackheels it into the net.....life = complete :D
