Hemenbruff Royal
Jackson Corner What I meant was teams like Derby, Forest and Leeds have London branches who would bring 50+ members to a game at the Mad Stad. We do not as far as I am aware have a Manchester or Newcastle branch of the supporters club. Of course I know there are lots of Royals who live in various parts of the UK who travel to games especially those located near to them.

Technically we do. 'Northern Royals' covers Manchester and Newcastle and everywhere else up north. And Scotland.

Are they made up of exiled Royals? or have we managed to convert any Northern folk to the hoop side?

This was always going to be a bitter recording of our fantastic season. Other teams trying to pick holes in our promotion.

'Reading don't deserve promotion because they have no history'

West Ham don't deserve promotion because they have no "now"...now, today, currently, at this time, in this moment is when the promotion you are playing for is taking place, not 46 years ago.

There was at least one at Old Trafford in the FA Cup, when during a moment of silence after the "we support our local team" chant had subsided, he took full effect by bellowing it out solo in the broadest (real) Geordie accent you've ever heard outside of Bigg Market.

Genius.

my palarse and QParse mates are alway breaking my balls about being reading having plastic fans and having no away support but there are some 'fans' like me who have to work for a living.

as it is i have work every other saturday so my saturday off is a home game and have to swop saturdays if we play two hame games on the trot and luckily have only missed two home games this season.

for me the only away games have been the 10 midweek ones for which i would need to take time off and, through my choice, have to be able to get back by train as i liked the odd sherbert.

its no coincidence that the forest, donny, derby, ipswich, and peterborough matches have all been poorly attended as the railways seem to have decided to close down after 10pm yet soton, brighton brissle and pompey, which i attended, were all well supported.

i would have gladly gone to all of the above if i could have drunkenly got back via public transport.

i know there is STAR but i like to leave work early rather than take half day and STAR means taking a halfy

regards being a second team i do agree that there are a lot of younger fans who support the 'big clubs'

through work i have to meet people in their homes and can testify that most kids bedrooms will have reading merchandise along side that of chelski, manyoo or spurs stuff.

i am sure this will change when and if reading become a more established prem club.
