Never seen such a shit team potentially pick up two pieces of silverware in a season. Astonishing.

No Fixed Abode Liverpool 0 - 1 Fulham

I think you must be a frustrated football score announcer as you are forever posting scorelines that everybody knows on a website of a club that you don't support under a topic that you have no interest in.
Presumably you quickly posted 0-2 on the Chelsea topic at about 9.35 last night or for once as some kind of treat you were taken to the game?

No Fixed Abode Live pic from Anfield tonight. Plenty of spares if anyone is up this way and wants to pay £44 for a nothing game.

That's shocking for a nothing game. You wonder sometimes if clubs realise we are in the grips of a recesion.

Fulham was a category 'B' game, although Liverpool's ticket prices don't fluctuate that much (£42 for a category 'C', £48 for 'A'). They do however have flat rate of £15 for a junior ticket irrespective of the game category, which is very good for Premier League football and iirc is the same as the cheapest junior seats at RFC last season.

As a random comparison, the cheapest adult ticket at Chelsea next season (they have taken this season's prices down) will be £56, and the cheapest junior ticket £27.50, unless you decide to sit in the 'famiLOLy section'.

Assuming you're making this up, but, there were a couple of things he'd said recently that made me think he might be being lined up to move back upstairs over the summer so this wouldn't actually shock me.

The guy's been disastrous, they've bought a couple of expensive players with attitude problems, and they've won what, three matches the last six months?

Hard to deal with for LOLerpool fans who think this is the "bhest managuuurrrr-hurr-durr eevvvhurrrhurhur".

So you think he's about to step down then?

He's not been a total disaster, but I'm not getting in to that one right now.

Spent years undermining managers?

I'd give you Hodgson yes, but previous to that?

Ideal £57.8M on Carroll and Suarez, whilst they may have footballing ability, their attitudes are disastrous, Carroll goes only two weeks between each time he drinks himself to an injury (falling off a bar stool was the last one?), and the other one is a bigger racist than anyone in the EDL, I'd say spending £57.8M on those two is disastrous for the future of the team, they could probably have gotten at least 5 or 6 top class players if they had spent it sensibly.

Give £57.8M to Arsene Wenger and he's gonna walk the league.

LOLglish: Has money. Signs Racistez and Carroll for £57.8M.
Wenger: Wants a striker. Spends £10M on Lukas Podolski.

I wonder what Brian McDermott would do with £57.8M?

Have you forgotten Henderson and Adam?

Posted a similar comment before re Podolski, got me thinking what sort of conversations go on between scouts and managers and owners. Was, for example, Podolski on Liverpool's radar, or is it a real Championship Manager moment....

Arsenal FC: 'We've signed Podolski for £10m. LOLiverpooLOL.

Liverpool FC: 'DAMNNIT! Didn't think of him!'

On the point about Downing and Henderson (both a very long way short of expectations) and Carroll I understand the thinking was to buy English players ahead of the time when restrictions are enforced regarding how many foreign players you have in a 25-man squad.
Does anybody know if and when that is still due to happen?
Fergie did the same with Jones and Young and if it does come in then Chelsea will struggle in particular unless they replace the old guard with English players.
Arsenal also only have Oxlade-Chamberlain,Walcott and Wilshere.
Spurs are the biggest buyers of English players in recent years including Walker,Naughton,Lennon,Defoe,Jenas,Dawson and Huddleston.

Unfortunately buying English for English sake has so far not worked for Liverpool but they do have Kelly and Flanagan who could well make it (Kelly at centre-back) so they could be the most English of sides when you include Johnson,Shelvey,Sterling and by then the veteran Gerrard so if the English day does arrive they just could be a bit better placed than some.
In the meantime a few more decent foreigners wouldn't go amiss.

Have to say Carroll has shown some deft touches this evening and at the moment is having quite a good game.
