I have a reliable source who tells me that we have had an offer accepted and also offered the player a contract. He is biding his time as to whether to accept.

Friday's Legacy I'm not sure if this is related or not, or their both wanted (Connolly possibly seen as Cummings cover), but we have had a bid accepted for Adrian Mariappa, and we have offered him a contract. -- The player has decided to take his time in making a decision while he considers all his options. Shameful.

I knew we wouldn't get him as soon as he ignored the contract on offer to see what else happens.

TBH, whilst he is of course free to see who else is interested, I would not be sure how much I would want him if this is the case. It would almost imply that coming to RFC was based solely on the fact that no one else wanted him rather than he actually wanted to be here.

In honesty, it's perfectly acceptable that he might want to consider his options - he could have personal reasons for wanting to move up North. He might not fancy being backup to our established back four and want to be starting regularly......there could be any number of reasons why he might want to consider his options, and given that we're in May and the transfer Window isn't actually open I can't see the problem...

He isn't.

However, Simon made a joke about Mariappa going to Swansea, as at the time everyone was having a good cry about Sig going to Swansea.
