Yawn!!!! Move on please as this has passed its sell by date. We sold Gylfi and made a nice amount of money. Why oh why would he want to come back here, when it's likely the big clubs of Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs et al are likley to be after his signature. There are other quality players out there, and I trust RFC to find a few gems like they have done the past few years. Even if the RFC takeover happens, and we have a bit of cash, it's not guaranteed that bigger names or better quality players are going to sign for us. Remember what Brown (?) at Celtic said when we first got promoted to the Premiership? There was no way he was going to ruin his career signing for RFC.

Brown was an arse. Jason Roberts - that big name and quality player in the Prem didn't appear to blink an eyelid before agreeing to sign for us.

Until such time as Gylfi goes to another club - I don't think this subject HAS passed its sell by date. And, as outlined throughout all these pages, Gylfi didn't want to leave, still has strong links here, wants to leave Germany and Swansea offered too little for him - so until we're completely priced out of this or Gylfi is quoted as saying he only wants to go to one of the "big 4" clubs - I'll continue to hope that he comes back to us.

Brown turned us down at the start of our SECOND season in the PL. Appears he was right at the time.

I'm still confused why he's not playing at Hoffenheim. They must be getting reports of how well he's done at Swansea and lots of prem teams calling them to sell. Why can't he get in their team?

though if he had backed himself as quality, he could easily have got us the 1 goal/point we needed to stay up

I thought Gylfi looked really good yesterday against Man U - could easily have scored a couple.

If Man U or Arsenal do not buy him this summer they are mad IMO - but until one of the big clubs do so I will carry on hoping that RFC will buy him back.

Apart from anything else 10M would be a great investment and he will go for a lot more in a season or two when one of the big clubs finally makes their mind up.

Thoroughly agree.... Fully expect him to go to a big club, but we should be keeping an eye to take advantage if their interest doesn't firm up.

It's all sewn up already, so is this transfer.

They're just waiting to make a big double announcement at the promotion parade 8)

I suppose when you look at it it would suit him. He has a guaranteed starting place and strong relationship with Brendan Rodgers. He's very happy there and really enjoying his football, and their style suits him. If he can remain consistent for another 18 months then he will have his pick of Premier League clubs. Win win for both player and club. Can they find the money for him though? I'll be disappointed if he does stay there as I think he can step up for a top six club already.

Plus it'll help out Swansea enormously next season, and I think they may well be in the relegation scrap.
