cmonurz I do hope we are giving serious thought to signing this kid, he's absolutely top class.
And according to Wiki only 1 booking in the last two seasons (91 games), pretty good for a big centre-forward.

Simon's Church I'd probably take him for £1.5m, not for double and certainly not for 3/4 times that, which is apparently what Huddersfield want.

FiNeRaIn Big?
he might be tall, but he's not the sort of target man physical striker that would get bookings. Looks like a sharp, clever goal machine...not an alan lee/henderson type unit forward who you'd expect to pick up countless bookings. Agree with the rest of the post though, sign him.

If they were knocking back £4-5m offers in January I would expect we would have to offer at least £3m, plus a decent add-on and sell-on to tempt them to part with him. They really rate Morrison, so I could see a possible deal involving him going the other way to bring the price down.

Big Ern No point breaking the bank for a player not even proven at Chump level. Not sure about Morrison being one of our top yongsters though. I think he will be surplus to requirements

cmonurz Not to sound a bit sniffy, but I don't think £3-4m is 'breaking the bank' for us any more, or at least it shouldn't be if we're serious about being a Stoke or Fulham in five years time. By which time Rhodes will be 26 and reaching his peak.
Wait for him to score 15 goals before Xmas in the Championship, and he will cost us £7-8m.

I think he will leave Huddersfield regardless of whether they clinch promotion
