W&E Royal Bolton didn't cheat to beat us in 1995 did they? I can't believe the reaction to this on Twitter.

Actually, they did.
Jason McAteer had already been booked when he brought Gilkes down for the penalty when through on goal.
Should have been a straight red, at least should have been a second yellow.
He had the temerity to set up two of the goals, as well.

Big Ern Must admit, it crossed my mind when it was confirmed Bolton were relegated.
Agree that McAteer should of been given a second yellow card, but you cannot blame or hate a team for trying to win. It was a mistake from the ref afterall. Can't really remember the handball incident to be honest.
What I do remember well and still leaves a bad taste in my mouth was the behavior of the Bolton fans as we were leaving Wembley. They seemed more intent on rubbing it in as opposed to celebrating their own success. For this alone, I have no sympathy for them, except for Fabrice for whome I still prey for every day.

Ian Royal We got revenge on Bolton when we did them 3-2 at home with Quinn in goal. We erased the hurt of failing in that final when we won the league and broke the points record.
