Ideal If they can not come up with £6M, how do you expect them to pay for the stadium expansion?
They need an extra year to come up with £12M for JM.

Honestly I am starting to think TSI might be the Venkys part II.

I'm sure they can come up with the money but that's not to say they have to spend it on expensive players willy nilly just to keep impatient over expectant fans happy.

You think they've got no money because they are staggering the takeover, and can't afford the investment to extend the stadium, which will be a permanent source of potential extra revenue and be around for decade after decade... because it's unlikely we'll be able to buy one player, who'll be with us for no more than half a dozen years for £6m?

There are really no words to describe how utterly reactionary and ill-thoughtout that opinion seems to me.

Ideal As usual you concoct some useless rubbish which you claim that other people have said.

There is evidence on all fronts that the money is not there.
They can't pay JM, they can't pay for transfers, and they can't pay the stadium expansion.

Basicly I believe they don't have the money.
£6M isn't much for a Premier League side, and if they can't afford that, they are quite simply not the "billionaire saviours" that people have made them out to be.

But that's the point, TSI haven't shown their hand or let on how much money is behind them. You cannot judge them based on what other people have said!

They have said they want to continue running the club much in the same way SJM has done so, only with a bit more money behind us. So what makes you think they will suddenly be prepared to break our transfer record three times over on one player? They also talk about the stadium expansion, just as SJM did; yet his personal fortune is approx £150m? How do you think he was going to pay for it? Out of his own pocket, or a loan against the club? I would think it likely to be the latter, just as I assume it will be under TSI.

Does that make SJM a risk as well then?

The deal may fall through. They may have no money. That doesn't mean his logic or the evidence he is basing it on isn't massively flawed.

No. It would mean the outcome was the same, not that you were right.

Ideal Wow, you really are pigheaded.
So your claim is TSI has money, no problem, everything going fine.
I suggest that TSI has no money, problem, deal going south.

Which of us will be proven right?
I reserve my right to point out that you were wrong, once the deal is announced to have collapsed. You can't have it both ways.

No, my claim is that you're making ludicrous claims based on ridiculous conjecture.

What will you do if the deal goes ahead?

Had a slight hamstring injury. Swansea are willing to pay Hoffenheim's asking price, just comes down to whether they can match Gylfi's wages or if he's willing to take a cut.

IF he is seriously contemplating Swansea, why wouldn't he talk to us?

He'd be a star at RFC

On footballing grounds he has fitted in so well right from the off at Swansea and is very much their type of player.
Swansea is a club on a par with us so not much difference there.
Living around Swansea (rather than in it which is about equally as grim as central Reading)is more attractive.
On personal grounds he might feel the old adage of "You should never go back"
Like everybody else I would love to see him back with us.

If Liverpool have any sense they'd make a move for him, however if none of the "big" teams are interested I would expect Reading to at least enquire about him

If it comes down to us and Swansea, he will choose Swansea. He fits there like a glove.

He'd go to whoever bid the most money for him if it was a battle between the two clubs. He still has an affinity for Reading and a few months at Swansea doesn't change that.
