Franchise FC Tevez went down and stayed down - no rolling

Did Tevez get fouled playing for Citeh??

Couldn't be...

Mancini said that he would never play for them again

Barton is right about Shearer - he's as boring and opinionless as Claridge

But however boring, wrong or weak Shearer, Claridge, Lawro, etc. are - there's no excuse for Joey's actions, no excuse at all.

The fact that he's publicly stated he tried to get someone else provoked to get them sent off simply reinforces the classless gimp. That's worthy of a disrepute charge of its own.

and yet the commentators, particularly the ex-players, howl that no pro would ever try to get another sent off.

Royal Lady You reckon Ian?

good contribution as ever there.

I'm edging towards the upper ends or higher thinking about what he's said since... if talking about his team mates suggesting, and him trying, to deliberately get a player sent off / injured isn't bringing the game into disrepute I don't know what is.

AthleticoSpizz
TBM
AthleticoSpizz Pot calling kettles and all that. Saint Alan of Shearer was quite capable of regularly swinging his elbows into opponents faces.

But being the saintly (no pun) figure that he once was, it was largely blind-eyed by the officials

Differences being, he didn't then brag about it afterwards
ermmmm like twatter/bookface was even around then?

What's that got to do with it?!

There were other means - its not as if Shearer played in the 1800's

Like him or loathe him. It's refreshing to see a footballer these days that actually says what he thinks. There is no point watching pre or post match interviews with players or managers as they're so cliched these days.

It's just more lock jawed football stars, thicker than pig shit, nothing to convey. They're so scared to show intelligence, it might smear their lovely career. This World, I am afraid, is designed for crashing bores..

Actually agree with Kes tbf, don't agree with 99% of the tripe he comes out with but at least it's not a bucket full of cliches.

well you can blame the press, not footballers, for that - if you dont stick to the sick as a parrot/over the moon script you end up misquoted by some lazy hack looking for a headline

What Barton mouths off about after a game is fair enough - if he wants to act a dick then let him......but his actions on the pitch should be punished, heavily. Millions of kids were watching that game and although 95% of them would never do what he did, there may be some simpletons out there who think that if he can do it, get away with it and still play Premiership football then its ok for them to do it on a Saturday/Sunday morning.

I was talking to someone last night about this Barton / Lineker "feud" and he confirmed, having 1st hand experience of Lineker and his family that he is indeed a dick of the highest order.

Yes, the shagging around was generally known but the whole Mr Nice image is a carefully constructed sham over many years - his kids are wild, arrogant gobshites over whom he has no control and he, and they, are classic "don't you know who I am" merchants.

Might be an exaggeration I suppose but what he told me surprised me I have to say.

So this is actually second hand experience, then.
