Hodgson and Neville should be a great combo. If we had any decent players I might start to think we could actually do ok.

Very interesting appointment and one that ticks a lot of boxes.

Obviously a bit of a rabble rouser and so could well cover a lot of the supposed weaknesses of Hodgson.

Only a couple of days until the squad is announced so a big week for England's future.

Does anybody think Leon Britton will make the squad? Was reading the other day that he has outpassed Messi this season.

I'd be more inclined to take him if he'd outscored Messi.

If Hodgson was looking to get us playing like Swansea then he'd probably be in with a shout. I can't see that happening though but when you look at the other options available perhaps it's not that unlikely.

Agreed, Britton's time at Sheff Utd showed he's not really adaptable to the conventional 4-4-2 which we'll presumable playing under Hodgson.
