Also sources in Norway have reported a £1million bid, and suggested that it was us

So basically then, there has been no official newspaper report or written speculation in any of the Uk and/or Norwegian press mentioning that RFC had put in a bid for approx' 1m for Sigurdarson. Amazing! Great if we sign him but until someone actually comes up with some kind of press report, then for all we know RFC have had no contact with Lillestrøm about this player. I have not read anything over here.

Considering 90% of the rumours that have appeared in the press so far this summer have originated on here I don't know why you are saying that, but for what its worth my information was confirmed by Vegard Vaagbo, a journalist. Theres also the following articles:

We have NOT put any bid WHATSOEVER in for him, unfortunately.

I know I'm not seen as one of the 'reliables' such as FL or icelandic stokie but I am certain of this. It's a shame because he looks a decent player. As far as I know we're not planning on bidding either.

Could you explain why you are certain? I speak to people who are certain about things all the time at work. It doesn't stop them being hopelessly ignorant and wrong.

I know, they were mainly inklings I heard from a few employees. However this is far more reliable. Not expecting everyone to believe me though, this is HNA? afterall.

Stokie has always been ultra reliable, so if he said the bid was from us then it was. what does it matter anyway, we wont be upping our bid to the £3.5m on an unproven.

Well we're not going to be upping or not upping the bid anyway as there was no bid in the first place!!

We're waiting for the takeover to be completed next week before putting in an official bid. Only put out feelers so far.

Don't understand this. Last thing I'll say on it, you don't have to believe me but we have not submitted a bid for him.

There are some well spoken and sensible Lillstrom fans on twitter that also confirm the bid was from Reading. gotta give IcelandStokie the benefit of the doubt here m8.
