Read what I wrote. Imbecile. McDermott is well liked at Reading. Had we NOT achieved promotion, fans would nevertheless have been disappointed had he been sacked.
Dalglish is well liked at Liverpool, he didn't achieve what he set out to do, but fans are disappointed that he has been sacked.
Wow, petty name calling, nice one.
And the difference is, McDermott is fondly thought of at Reading because of his achievements as manager over the last 2 and a half years. At the start of his appointment very few RFC fans had even heard of him. He's had to win the majority over, and he's done so...while showing really humility and charm.
Dalglish is pretty much the opposite of that in every way. Therefore the comparison is useless.
Maybe if Phil Parkinson came back and managed us you could compare the two. But if Parkinson came in, wasted a load of money on average signings, and failed to achieve what he set out to, then I don't think too many of us would be slagging off Madejski for getting shot.
