As would Reading fans if we hadn’t gone up and McDermott had been sacked. Fans upset at the departure of someone they like shocker.

Are you actually comparing Dalglish with McDermott? :|

Dalglish - Pissed away >£100m on signings that haven't worked out. Finished 8th in the league when having the 2nd highest net spend. Won the Carling Cup by scraping through a final against a Championship team

McDermott - Won the championship

Seal imagine having 2 user names AND two clubs. How confusing would that be :?:

Imagine sometimes going to work and sometimes being at home.
Isn't Kes one of those who changes his username every year or so?

Read what I wrote. Imbecile. McDermott is well liked at Reading. Had we NOT achieved promotion, fans would nevertheless have been disappointed had he been sacked.

Dalglish is well liked at Liverpool, he didn't achieve what he set out to do, but fans are disappointed that he has been sacked.

No Fixed Abode So Kenny Dalglish has gone and as of now, Fenway's Liverpool have no manager, director of football, head of press, or new stadium plan

I thought the season had ended so not that important really.
Have Chelsea got a manager yet?
Have Chelsea got a new stadium?
Is their captain off to jail?
People in glass houses.....oh we are back to John Terry again.

I think one day you will realise that this is 2012 and not 1910.
Most people have
radio
television
internet
all of which give football scores so your service on here is hardly necessary Mr Teletext.
BTW you got home quickly from the Bridge.

Kenny has left Liverpool, how do you feel?

Wonderful footballer (did you ever see him play?)
A successful manager up to a point.
A good bloke
Not his time and probably the best thing for the club.
Chelsea fans know a bit about managers, who would you suggest?

Cmonrz - it's a truly bizarre comparison as if McDermott had been sacked for Reading missing out on promotion, it would have been completely unjustified, as he hadn't spent a shed load of money on some very average players.

Wow, petty name calling, nice one.

And the difference is, McDermott is fondly thought of at Reading because of his achievements as manager over the last 2 and a half years. At the start of his appointment very few RFC fans had even heard of him. He's had to win the majority over, and he's done so...while showing really humility and charm.

Dalglish is pretty much the opposite of that in every way. Therefore the comparison is useless.

Maybe if Phil Parkinson came back and managed us you could compare the two. But if Parkinson came in, wasted a load of money on average signings, and failed to achieve what he set out to, then I don't think too many of us would be slagging off Madejski for getting shot.

Listening to TalkSport, and they are trying to work out exactly why he got sacked.

Amazed to hear not one person rang up to explain they finished 8th, scraped a Carling Cup, were crap in the FA cup final, spunked millions and millions, backed and supported a proven racist and are once again not in the Champions League. Just because he's Kenny, doesn't mean there must be a defining reason, other than he did shit. Ridiculous.

It's still pretty ludicrous. Kenny who pissed away £100m and took Liverpool to one of their worst finishes in decade when the fans expect to be top 4,
vs
McDermott who didn't spend big and where just finishing in the play offs would have been thought of success by most

:| getting sacked for not winning promotion. :| McDermott would never have been sack for that reason. Suggesting that's comparable to Kenny makes you the imbecile, not anyone else.

I think you miss the point.
The Liverpool fans are disappointed that he got the sack because they desperately wanted him to succeed, not that the club has sacked him.
They realise that (regrettably)he is probably now out of touch with the world of these extremely wealthy young players whereas other oldies like Wenger and Fergie by remaining in management continuously have learned to live with these nouveau riche.
