Prefer to look at it as "West ham failed to achieve the title with the same style of play as Reading" if at all...

I once got Federico Fazio to score about 40 goals in a season from CB

IdealZacNaloen I think there is a tactical difference, can't recall West Ham using their wingers as much as us. Although I didn't see every game of theirs tbf
Absolutely.
There are huge differences.
West Ham:
one-paced lumbering midfield
many central midfielders, no wingers
ten thousand strikers, sometimes played out of position
"unbalanced" team
lacking tactical discipline, lacking teamwork when the going gets tough, bunch of bigtime charlies thinking they will walk it
Main tactical move: lump the ball straight forward, through the middle of the pitch, up at a striker
RFC:
two holding midfielders/ballwinners
two fast wingers
balanced team
strong tactical discipline, cynical, hardworking team effort
Main tactical move: win ball in central midfield, angle ball towards wide player who rushes up the pitch with the ball
I'd say the two approaches are nothing alike.

Gordons Cumming 1 defeat in 18 games for West Ham. Not bad for a dysfunctional team.
