Ideal Who in their right mind would take on the LOLerpooLOL job now, after LOLglish has spent all the money..?They asked Rodgers, and he said he wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

No Fixed Abode Didn't mean that in terms of putting Liverpool down m8 - just I think he'd prefer cosmopolitan London to Liverpool.
IMO though - it's a tough one for the Chelsea managerial role. I can't see how they can't give the job to Di Matteo IF Chelsea win tomorrow night. Morally it would be the right thing to do.
However, looking at the bigger picture and knowing Roman wants success as well as attractive football, then Pep Guardiola seems the only choice. Whether he's ready to come back into management so soon, who knows. But I'm pretty sure that's the man who Roman wants really........

Thing is, are Chelsea doing wel due to Di Matteo OR is it just the fact AVB has now gone and the senior players are happy again?
I notice Terry calls him "Robbie" etc - he sounds more like one of their mates than their manager

TailsVictor Meldrew
Sorry lad I think you must have wandered on to the wrong website.
Take a look back at this and most other topics and you will see very little evidence of the "sensible discussion" that you desire.
This site is full of mainly senselless discussion and mild abuse posted by mainly childish people-hadn't you sussed that?
Do you not have the acumen to adjust, or are you merely conceding defeatand accepting you are just as bad as the worst on here?
I see you continue to persist with this derogatory style of address based on an assumption between yourself and I.Victor Meldrew WARNING-sensible aspect coming up:-
As for your bold and rather arrogant stance on racism what about the edict of "innocent until proven guilty" which surely is of similar importance.
With Dalglish and T-shirtgate this was an example of that edict.
It may have been ill-judged but many employers stand by their man in the first instance (Cameron/Hunt in recent days).
Dalglish may have been wrong by continuing to stand by his man but that was the judgement of somebody with a poor PR mechanism at his club and whereas he (like a lot of people) regards Evra as a whingeing little toe-rag he probably should have eased back on his support for his player just as Fergie eventually did with the reprehensible Cantona and Chelsea seem to have done with Terry.
Personally I am still with Blatter that whatever is said on the pitch in the heat of battle stays on the pitch and ends with a handshake rather than "Sir,this boy said something horrible to me".
Then again I grew up in different times when there was no such obsession with all things racist beyond the countless other ills that affect our society and the coverage of the "offences" committed by Terry annd Suarez have IMHO had disproportionate coverage to the seriousness of those offences.
Sad times if this is the message that you teach the emerging generations who absorb your attitude to such issues
So your argument is 'its OK I'm not bothered about racism because back in the day our ethnics would just sit back and accept it so I don't think this situation is that bad'?
When I find myself siding with Blatter, I tend to look at my thought process and find out when I turned into a sexist misogynist cnut of a man.

Victor Meldrew Incidentally I didn't like the remarks of our own Jason Roberts when it was announced that Ferdinand had been left out of the squad and with the other nonsense that he spoke about on 606 about there not being enough black managers in English football-he is in danger of seeing himself as a kind of black power spokesman when in fact he should be looking for equality which is something that most of us want in our society.
