Think that was the worst performance by a play-off-winning team that I have ever witnessed. Blackpool must be kicking themselves, specifically Dobbie for missing that sitter.

Congratulations to York City on their return the the FL after 8 years. Beat Luton 2-1 and have approval for a new 6k seater stadium to be built at the Monks Cross retail site in York. Special mention also of Chris Smith, who I think captained the team today, Chris being a one time member of the Reading Academy and signed his first professional deal with the club for 2 years before being released in 2001.

yip always had a soft spot for York for absolutely no apparent reason. Didn't know of the Chris Smith/Reading link tho'

The good money will go on Luton for the autos next season

Yes...Blackpool were really unlucky.

Shame for Luton to lose.

Noticed that Curtis Osano was playing for Luton and I think was part of the 2006 squad.

Indeed he was, although he didn't make a league appearance. He did, however, make an appearance in the FA Cup replay against West Brom...

And sweet revenge for York after this a couple of years ago. Skip to 2.00 for the York players sheltering in the away end.

Funnily enough I work with a Luton and a York supporter. The latter have had an amazing season.

West Ham are 1500/1 to win the Premier League; Southampton 5000/1. How does that work?

Incidentally, before Saturday, we were 5000/1; today, we are 1500/1! Obviously the bookies think we are guaranteed 6 points next season from the Hammers.

I nearly stuck a few quid on when I saw us for 2500/1 last time. 5000/1 I'd have been sorely tempted to stick on a bit. I imagine more Reading fans would place that bet just for a laugh and West Ham fans are arrogant enough to think they're in with a chance. Whereas I'd have thought Saints are just delighted to be there after a sojourn in League One.

They call it financial clout and experience (in West Ham's case experience of getting relegated more like)

Just what could possibly have been going through his mind at that moment ?

"Only an hour and I can get my Big Mac & fries"
"That's a nice red shirt that bloke's got on. Why didn't he wear the same kit as his mates ? Oh, and he's scored an own goal"
"I should've gone to Specsavers" (obvious, but true)

About 60,000 expected for league 1 play off and around 25,000 for the league 2 game.

Should stick a load of tickets on for £15-20 then you'd probably sell out the rest.

Won't make much difference really. Might pick up a few casual football supporters but Crewe and Cheltenham do not have massive fan bases and the percentage increase for this game is massive compared even to us.
