Yellowcoat There is a new video on the official Premier League website which says the takeover will be completed imminently.
Hardly likely to have put that up now if they are still anticipating problems.

We go up anyway, SJM will remain the owner rather than TSI

Perhaps there are two F&PP tests ongoing? One for TSI and one for SJM

Ideal
Royal Lady When SJM said he hoped it would all be completed by end of March, initially, I can only assume that he didn't think we'd be getting in the play offs! Because, shirley, if he knew that even if the FL ratified it, the PL would have to do their bit, he can't have possibly thought we'd have a chance of being top 6 (let alone automatically promoted) or he would have said something along the lines of, "should RFC achieve their aim of Premier League football this season, the PL will have to do their own checks and this will entail a delay" - however, all he's ever said when it hasn't happened is "next week" - don't his advisers tell him anything?!

Well, apparently Bairam Chainrai can be made the new owner of Poorfsmuff in only 60 days, and quickly passes a fit and proper test, yet our new owners expect us to believe that one week lasts indefinately.

Royal Lady, it is a sad state of affairs when you and I are the only ones who seem to notice that something is odd about this.

I for one think there is no money. There simply is no money.
Zingarevich has previously done the same, approached Everton with no money at hand and monkeyed them around for a while.
I believe he is doing it again. He is pretending he has "loadsamonaayh", and putting up a facade, but when it comes down to it, the funds are not there.

The sooner we pull the plug on this charade, the better.

And FWIW, the rest of the users on here seem to be too taken by the Emperor's new clothes, they are not aware that he is naked.

You are playing your cards for the "I am a hero, I told you so approach".

Massive business decision takes time. We are in no worse a position when we were in 05/06 when we went up and in a matter of days we could be in an amazing position! Chill out!

I note that in the video SJM said we were being taken over by the Zingarevich FAMILY

That's not the first time he's said that, and RFC have recently confirmed to the PL that Boris Zingarevich will be involved.

Surely common sense must prevail somewhere here - i.e. the PL AGM isn't until June 1st someone said...? so, if the PL don't have jurisdiction over the club then they can't make any statement regarding F&PP ownership can they? and that jurisdiction doesn't come into force until after the above date - I daresay the appropriate investigations have been/are being carried out as we speak - of course they are -, and in addition SJM is on record as saying ''No further statement will be made until a binding agreement has been reached''

Remarkably enough the 1st of June is.......... NEXT WEEK!

Runs into distance laughing maniacally..........

You're right. But if they have no jurisdiction over us, then why do they need to investigate? It's safe to say that the FL finished their investigations a few weeks ago, and as we are still technically a Championship club for another week, that should be all that's needed for this takeover to go through.

We've been given answers, it's nothing to do with money or JM, it's the premier league and the fact we aren't officially members of it yet.

Bring Back The SB To be honest, I think the club should come out again and tell us exactly where we are in the process. If they had no doubts at all about his going through then they should come ot and say so.

My feeling is that they do have doubts hence the silence, why else would we have had nearly a month of zero communication from them? Also, if what they say is true, suewly their would be more signs of fristration from the club that the PL are taking so long over this and it might lead us to missing out on some of our more expensive targets.

daft to come out and say it if it isnt 100% guaranteed- setting themselves up for a fall if something does go wrong.
all the noises and signs are positive, weve been told why its taking longer. to come out and say more is pointless
until its done.
hopefuly sometime next week.

I see where you're coming from, the takeover would have been complete before we were technically promoted yes. but as it's going to affect us as a PL club I believe they do have a say...it's very much a grey area I guess- I can't recall a club being in this situation before, i.e. being in the throes of a takeover and subject to the various proceedings involved with that, gaining promotion then having to be subjected to the same takeover legalities pertinent to the league to which they have been promoted to...so if the PL were to wait until we were officially under their jurisdiction before commencing the legal investigations it would hinder us (further?) with regard to monies being available from the new owners regarding transfer targets etc. So my thoughts are that in an effort to advance these investigations they commence them in an 'unofficial basis' for want of a better term, but can't release their findings until after the previously mentioned date.

At least I dearly hope that is the case...

Any one after information need only read the folowing statement:

The Takeover will be announced when it is completed.

Any amount of conjecture, will not change the pure and simple fact.

Sorry to disappoint.

Could we lock this thread and re-open it when there is something actually factual to report.

No, cos then people will have to start spin off threads when they genuinely want to talk about the deal

Now sit down and wait patiently ffs.

We're getting closer. I've been asked not to say any more than that, but it's encouraging. If it takes several more weeks, what does it matter as long as all those behind/connected to TSI are proven suitable to take control of our football club? (that's not to say it will take that much longer)

i do hope the mods will clean this again.

This should not be allowed to pass 200 pages until the deal goes through / fails.

In for the board crash when either happens.

Ups and Downs You guys have no ambition. This could have reached 300 pages with the right sort of encouragement.

Personally, I think the mod who deleted 20 pages for his own amusement should be thrown off the board and then shot in the street.

You'll be redacted too!

The main thing about TSI seems is probably their inability to show the flow of funds openly and transparently so that anyone can see who is bankrolling the club

Since Leeds the PL want it to be clear where the money comes from - most clubs have owners like Ashley, Abramovich, Whelan or Mansoor so it's clear where the money flows from (even if it is "dirty")

Anton, just ain't personally rich enough

So if you've just got million sat in your bank account - is that enough to say to the PL "here are our funds" or do you genuinely have to have a steady income?
