readingfc.co.uk In the event of a sell-out, then the Royals are delighted to announce that they will be operating an 'interest list' for those fans who are unable to guarantee their seat. By registering, supporters will be the first to hear about arrangements for Season Ticket sales in future seasons. Further information on this scheme will be released at a later date.

Ok great so loads of empty seats for games against Wigan etc and little opportunity for membercard holders to get to games.

Gives an indication as to how successful any stadium expansion will be as they can see how many fans who want season tickets, who don't have one, there are.

Give it until December, when weve got about 5 points on the board, and the South stand wont even sell out.

My old man was one of those queueing up, he was priced out of attending Reading games years ago but as he's over 65 now I offered to buy him a ST as it worked out at £330 and I thought he might never get to see us in the premiership again.

On the downside, I've blown any chance I had of being able to afford a new television this year!

Anyone know what proportion of season tickets were sold around 2006?

Wouldn't the club keep back a certain proportion of tickets for matchday sales or would they sell every seat as a ST if they could?

I think they're oblidged to have some as non-season ticket sales. In 2006/07 you could usually get a ticket for most of the games, especially the less 'glamourous' fixtures but what worries me is this massive campaign to flog 1000's of extra season tickets to people who probably aren't even interested in those games, and thus the seats will be unoccupied those days.

Why?

Those seats were empty for 80% of last season.

Wow! Really surprised to see that level of interest with people getting there so early.

Fair play to the club for dishing out free water.

That's a bit old, Forbs. We had their thread on here some months ago. It was a pretty funny read as well.
