Watch Rhodes miss a pen and have his value halved with one kick of the ball

winchester_royal If we were to sign anyone from this game, I'd prefer it to be one of the two right backs or Quinn.

Rhodes just seem to lack any sort of physicality. Clearly a very clever player, but is he just another ALF?

Like I've said before, I'm sure LeFondre is every bit as good as Rhodes.

Now they are up he will stay put if the club don't need the money...at the end there he didn't look like a player who was leaving..

It would be hard for him and the club to say no to a Premier League offer. I had heard we will match any offer for him, but I can see this adding to his value and if the rumours of £6m plus are true then I just don't see us spending that on an unproven FLC and PL player.

Agreed ...didn't exactly enhance the asking price today...but he's entitled to one off day considering...

Unphased Royal £8 million for a player who has only really had success in the third tier of English football shows you that football has surpassed insane.

If you remember a certain SJM saying that a certain Shane Long was worth £20m and we sold him for....?? - so you could reasonably say - ''£20m for a player that has only experienced the second tier of English football shows you that football has surpassed insane'' couldn't you?...Graysons statement only serves to encourage bidding don't you think?

Royal Ginger I would be very disappointed if we pissed away anything like that amount of money. Fulham's bid seems to be about right, more than that is just ridiculous. We'll know a lot more about his future in a couple of hours.

Taken as read that the Transfer Market valuation on Rhodes, ( http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/jorda ... 48950.html ) or any other player for that matter, isn't an exact science but it's there or thereabouts so I would tend to agree with RG above, incidentally as he is now a championship player the TM valuation may be even less accurate

Thats very true, I dont believe that he will go for £8 million probably closer to half that but its still ridiculous that the club would even suggest hes worth that amount

Plus Morrison proved himself to not be a Reading player after scoring a penalty.

Rhodes future will be decided next week - http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/ ... witterfeed

Huddersfield assistant manager Glynn Snodin has revealed Jordan Rhodes’ future will be resolved in the next few days.

The highly-rated 22-year-old striker has hit 40 goals this season attracting the attention of a host of Premier League sides including West Ham, Tottenham, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Fulham.

Bosses at the club have reportedly slapped an £8m price tag on Rhodes in an attempt to fend off potential suitors.

But after helping the Terriers gain promotion from League One to the Championship on Saturday afternoon, Snodin told talkSPORT that if Rhodes does decide to leave he will go with the club’s best wishes.

“He has been fantastic. Hopefully over the next three, four or five days things should be getting sorted out with Jordan, his agent, the chairman and see where we go with that then.

“It will be down to the club what Jordan is looking for and what Jordan Rhodes wants to do as well.

“Whatever happens, if he is going to stay, fantastic, if he is going to leave then everybody is going to pat him on the back because what he has done for this club has been absolutely out of this world.”

tbf he has played every minute of every game for them since signing on loan. I hope they take him for another season to give him Championship experience.

Still think that an agreement to let Huddersfield loan Morrison for another year should be a sweetner in a deal for Rhodes.

If he does decide to leave, think it's going to be a case of flies around sh@t tbh.....and I'd expect that IF we were to be in the running, and Morrison formed part of any deal, it would be permanent and not another loan IMHO...

So?

My quote was in reference to that.

How can he feel a Reading player when he's only played a matter of minutes and has spent longer at Huddlesfield.

Patting the badge while on loan is like chatting up a woman in a bar even though you don't fancy her - just because you can.

Analogy only works if that woman in the bar is the only one you’ve ever known. Except a pretty one slightly out of your league who touched your arm once by accident.
