The Rouge So the spread for the Euros is (roughly):
Spain....52/54 Germany....48/50 Holland....35/37 France....29/31 England....28/30 Italy....24/26 Russia....23/25 Portugal....22/24 Poland....17/19 Greece....16/18 Croatia....15/17 Ukraine....15/17 Czech.R....15/17 Sweden....13/15 R.O.I....8/10 Denmark....7/9
Winner = 100pts
R/U = 75pts
Semi Finalist = 50pts
Qualified/Quarter Finalist = 25pts
Did not qualify from group = 0pts
I am thinking of doing the following:
BUY
GERMANY
SPAIN
ROI
FRANCE
ENGLAND
POLAND
SELL
PORTUGAL
UKRAINE
CZECH REPUBLIC
RUSSIA
Bigger bets in red. What do people think?

Tony Le Mesmer Surely there has to be some value in the outright market for the Euro's. Germany at 3/1? thats way too short for me in a very competitive tournament. Spain and Germany combined are even money. Look elsewhere.

How about Olympics football?
Brazil are favourites, despite surprisingly never having won the tournament, while GB and Spain are 2nd/3rd favourites, even though neither squad will feature any players used in the Euro 2012 squads.
Uruguay (9/1) and Mexico (16/1) look good for at least an each way bet.

I think you're definitely right about getting against the European teams - not sure about Brazil. Their Olympics team just beat USA 4-1 (although it didn't look that convincing), and their manager has been told that his number one priority is to bring home Olympic gold. If you want a taster they're playing Mexico (full team) at 8pm! Mexico Olympic team just won the Toulon tournament so could do worse than 16/1 e/w!

Are Brazil using Pele and Zico as their over-aged players or are they going with the spirit of the Olympics and just playing the young 'uns?
As for the Euros it might be worth waiting till the quarters to have a bet as there are a couple of groups of death but if Germany,Holland and Spain all get through I doubt that their prices will be much reduced.
I am thinking of selling total corners which have been calculated as an average of about 10.5 per game but a lot of teams will play as they do in the Champs leaguue where the corner count is usually lower than in English football and in a summer tournament teams will be less inclined to bomb forward.
That's the theory anyway.
