I'd imagine they'll see it a fair way of looking to better himself. I doubt they seriously think they're the height of his ambition or ability, or that he lacks commitment to them.

Then again, football fans can be a bit odd, and they must have their fair share of Spacey's who will see it as out of order.

I hope he goes to Liverpool to be honest. I think it'll be good to see a manager who's proved himself through the English leagues get a crack at one of the top jobs in the country, but I'm not sure any manager is going to get a good run with that job right now.

Would like Rodgers to go to Liverpool, purely so the Sig deal might fall through. Selfish I know, but it would hurt to see Swans sign him perm.

Didn't Martinez speak to Villa last summer? Or did he just tell them he wasn't interested. I hope he leaves Wigan just because I'm sick to death of Whelan constantly jabbering away to the press.

Could be why Swansea are trying to rush the Gylfi signing through, before he leaves

If it happens this is where you find out if he's any good.

I think it's the wrong job at the wrong time for Rodgers but, like the Reading job, perhaps he thinks it's too good an opportunity to turn down.

Some people just never learn!

Still think there might be some value in Van Gaal at 33/1.

He's a man who knows how to rebuild sides playing the "Right Way". By signing players like Gregorz Rasiak, for example.

Hope Brendan has learnt from his experiences with Reading and Swansea. He has the potential to be one of the great managers but Liverpool is a club in decline, money has been thrown at terrible players. What it needs is a Bill Shankly not a Brendan Rodgers , a patient manager to cut out all the deadwood and slowly reform the playing staff, it will take three years at least. The last thing Liverpool fc needs is Brendan Rodgers, Rafa Benitez. It needs someone to do what Steve Coppell did for Reading, I am not suggesting him as his record at big clubs is not very good, just someone to do a job, give him 3 years to do it. Liverpool need someone like Mourinho, when he came to Real Madrid, it was a very good team, again just needed tweaking, some very good signings were made,he got rid of some players who were past it etc. Think this is where Barcelona are going to struggle, Guardiola did a great job but has left a fairly old team , with lots of players who are past it. They will still come second in Spain, but will win very little if the new manager does n´t have a good clear out.

Brendan took over a really good side in Swansea who were playing his style of football, he just needed to tweak a few things and now with Gylfi reckon Swansea could easily finish in the top 10 again next season.

Reading´s style when he came to us was not Brendan´s style, he should have tried to slowly change our style to his beloved passing game, but tried to force it on players who were not capable of playing to his style. He made plenty of other mistakes, Pearce as captain etc etc.

Better a big fish in a small pool, than a small fish in a big pool.

I wish him all the best for the future , Brendan Rodgers at reading was a case of the right man at the wrong time.
