andrew1957 I assume this has all been a huge wind up!

Yeah, there was no takeover, SJM is still the owner, and we need to cut our cloth this summer, and will do so by selling half the team. LOLZ!

You mean it was a rouse? A ploy? A plot? A charade? A conspiracy? A Plan? A trick? A Scam? Are you saying We've been conned? Hoodwinked? Bamboozled? Flim Flammed? Had the wool pulled over our eyes even?

In summary - no-one knows anything (except the main people at Reading FC) but everyone hedging their bets to tell us "i told you so" when a big announcement is to be made.

Oh yeah, accept for the rumour that me and Big Foot know about re the return of Shane Long!!!!

Fair play. It's meaningless to the rest of us unless you post names.

BigMike isn't on a wind up. We have made an offer for a former Reading player. It's a complicated one, but it would be a massive sign of intent if we get him.

Mariappa is very close. He wants to come. Stories of the fee not being agreed are wrong, it was agreed weeks ago. The player has been on holiday and is either back now or due back, and then the medical can take place. Unless someone comes in late for him then it would appear to be a done deal.

Could it be Sidwell? Phased out at Fulham after a great start, was BEAST in the 06/07 season...

Can't imagine any former Royals being a big signing unless it's Doyle, Sidwell, Gylfi or Bertrand?

Is there much chance of this mega-deal going through or is it just a statement of intent? (i.e. Beckham/Ronaldinho to Blackburn)
