my feelings exactly. I have no doubt that this is a wind up, aside from that overwhelming sense that I want it to be true.

Sounds like Big Mike is getting big headed like Friday's Legacy... Got one story right and now thinks he's best mates with Nicky Hammond and gets the call about any deals before we even bid on players.

TBF there were lots of people spouting out the day of the takeover, one of them had to be right.

All he seems to of said is that there is a big transfer in the offing, which we all already kind of know as its been touted in lots of places.

Unless he is more specific about melt down I can't see much credit going his way.

Fridays legacy told us about the bid for siggy not BigMike unless I'm mistaken.

Twitter tells me that part of the compensation package is that Bodgers cannot take Swansea players to Liverpool for 12 months, and that INCLUDES SIGURDSSON

Royals must also have eight ‘home-grown’ players.

Hammond added: “We do have to be mindful of that, but myself and Brian have spoken about it and we can’t see it having any problems for us.

Hint at Siggy?? :?

This thread is almost turning into as much of an epic as the "Snowball made me a good footballer" -Shane Long topic.

Top work Mike, carefully fanning the flames every now and then - played it just right.

Can't wait for the big news, lets hope they get all the formalities sorted before bank holiday weekend

watched the season review last night before bed, then literally couldnt sleep at the thought of Sig coming back... This signing would actually make my summer, and drastically improve our chances of staying up IMO

Have to admit, my gut instinct says there will be a massive announcement later today. But then that could be just the fish chowder I had last night catching up with me.

Bertrand - will NOT happen. 0% chance.
Defoe - outside chance of a loan. 10% chance.
Glyfi - links and history to the club is our only hope. 35% chance.
Long - WBA have no manager at present so no decision will be made. 10% chance.
Zaha - Must admit, I have heard a few things the past 24 hours. 60% chance.
Mariappa - Unless someone else comes in with a better and bigger offer then this is a dead cert. 85% chance.

Tbh I feel sorry for whoever our next signing is. Everyone will just be disappointed it's not Gylfi.

I don't think we get close to even worrying about it unless we get rid of loads. Home grown only refers to being in the English system for a number of years before they're (I think) 21.

From last years squad I think only Gorks, Gunnarsson, Hunt and Kebe, plus the under 21 players, would fail the homegrown test (I don't count Cywka or Manset).

...but if we are to believe that the deal hasn't been finalised ...then it's irrelevant .....if it has been done, then that kills Readings quest for him

85% chance because there is always the possibility that a better offer comes in at the last hour.
