cmonurz 19 in 40 games last season isn’t a terrible return. But of course there will be exceptions. There is some ‘cheap’ talent in the Bundesliga though.

Cisse another one.

Ba, Sigurdsson, De Jong, Kompany

Some of the best players in the Premiership this season came from Germany
Kompany came from belgium mate, played for anderlecht.

Signed him after seeing him and De Jong playing alongside each other for Hamburg

Simon's Church Gomez on his way out?

I'm not sure about that as Gomez signed a contract extension a month or two ago. There is also nowhere else in Germany he could go. But Gomez is not expected to be the number choice for Germany this summer because he does seem to score far fewer goals than 'he should' when one considers the number of chances he gets. Bayern's squad is also quite limited in comparison to (say) the top English teams and this is something Bayern suffered from in this season just finished. They complained again and again about Dortmund's 'advantage' having been knocked out of the CL early on and maybe Bayern are planning to develop and extend their first-team squad somewhat, in an attempt to overcome this. We will see.

Interesting one, just couldn't see either of them being happy on the bench. A bit like the Drogba and Torres scenario.

A bit off topic but do you think Klose will be the striker for the Euros then? Looking at the odds for top scorer and Gomez is favourite at 8/1 and Klose is out at 14/1, could be good value.

So he signed for Manchester City from Anderlecht, is that what you're saying?
I misread what was said, I thought people were saying that cheap talent is bought from German teams that have been produced there, and I was just stating that he was made in to the footballer he is today as a result of aanderlecht, my baddd.

I really couldn't say. I think it will be very interesting to see who Löw trusts against Portugal, and then against the Netherlands. I can see him starting with Gomez in the first game, but ... God, I really don't know. I would never put money on Gomez to be top scorer but maybe I am just infected by the lack of faith people around me have in him.

Anyway, surely Shane Long will be top scorer, or not?

Yeah, my point is more that players with experience in the Bundesliga seem to make the transition to Premier League football a lot better, most of those mentioned had an instant impact and those who didn't like Dzeko still did fairly well for a first season.

Wasn't Kuyt the longest player to play for Liverpool to NOT win a trophy? That was until they won the Carling Cup in extra time against the mighty Cardiff.

Apparently he said that was only his opinion and that Błaszczykowski might go to England as well with Łukasz Piszczek joining Madrid.

I would be very surprised if Dortmund's team was just allowed to be split up like this though.

Agree, the few quotes I've read seem to be the coach saying they are good enough to move onto bigger/historically more successful clubs and that they want to in the near future.

Man City rumoured to have offered Spurs Adam Johnson and Adebayor plus cash for Gareth Bale. Good offer.

Johnson is a decent winger, and they need Adebayor's goals.
