Maybe, if Balotelli can avoid being red carded.

Spain trying to pass it into the goal. Crying out for an in form striker.

Agree with that. Many opportunities to hit a shot or make a killer pass missed so they can play it tippy tappy. Italy have had by far the better chances to score and look pretty resilient at the back. Still, Spain can play all game looking like they don't know how to actually score a goal, and still end up with a comfortable winning scoreline. They're just that good. If Villa was playing I suspect they'd be winning by now though.

Great goals from both sides just now, hopefully signs this game is going to wake up for the remainder.

Typical, all it needs is one smidgeon of extra space and Spain go from looking like they're completely over-complicating everything to being utterly sublime and deadly.

Indeed, but you have to wonder whether, having been crap for what, 2 years (?), he is ever going to get his confidence back.

Such a shame really as I loved watching him at his best.

That was a better game to watch than yesterdays offerings but Italy will be much happier at the end of it.

Will Long be playing tonight?

2 1/2 years now. I don't think I have ever seen such a good player become so bad

Makes you wonder whether he will ever really get it back again
