cmonurz I don’t think it ever suits a manager to have less than a year to run on his contract. AVB got £12m for a few months work, Di Matteo is probably earning a fraction of that with a guaranteed ‘sacking’ when Pep comes out of retirement.

He was on a rolling deal then signed a 2 year deal after our first PL season iirc

Don't think it matters really. It's a team game after all - so I would expect the players to have some input into the tactics in any team.
