Funny, you hardly seemed so positive at the time; regularly missing games through 'injury' and often making Simon Sheppard look like Lev Yashin.

Wiggy only played well in the couple of weeks leading up to selection for the Bulgarian squad. For that reason I was never one of his biggest fans.

How many games did he actually play? I just remember him being injured all the time.

I think he's getting confused with the time he spent playing for the team that played its home games at Wembley!

was looking through the Euro 96 squads y'day, had forgotten about him and it made LOL to see Reading there

at the precise times that he was playing he seemed a terrible signing. but beforehand and even after he left it seemed a bit exotic and too far-fetched

Funnily enough we looked through the Mexico 86 panini sticker album in the pub last night (it was brilliant) and spotted Bobby Mihaylov in there. Three or four other erstwhile Reading players aswell - Kerry Dixon, Bob Lernarduzzi, and Jimmy Quinn spring to mind.

At uni I acquired an empty beer keg in what would in these modern times be known as 'epic bantz' and named it imaginatively Boris the Beerkeg in his honour and used him religiously as a wicket for corridor cricket before growing up and using him as a nightstand. then lost him in the sands of time

teamboard csb

you know he only joined becoz he saw the play-off game against bolton and thought Wem-ber-ley was our home ground

He also pops up in......(when watching it, I couldn't help but smile at some of his 'heroic' performances in our goal!!)

The rumour at the time was that Mick Hayloft signed after watching the Wembley play off final video and thought that was our home ground and typical attendance.

Did we get any money for him when he moved on to slavia Sofia?

Wiki says he made 24 appearances for us.

Letting in roughly 48 goals in those 24 games?

Bobby’s replay is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard - given his new status in life - a typical Politian’s response. Best he made no reply - I am afraid he was a big disappointment and a non team play. Not worth any further comment.

True that. There were worse keepers than Sheppard. And I keep forgetting his name, he's that bad - played in the early 90's, was usually the reserve keeper. He eventually ended up at Aylesbury. First name might be Phil.

Speaking of crap keepers, I noticed from the league 2 play-off final that Nicky Colgan was on the bench....
