Or they're the signings to convince him to stay.

If he does stay and Wilshere comes back somewhere near where he was a couple of seasons ago I think they'll push for the title this year. Especially if they get M'Vila as well.

They need a better defence though. Didn't Blackburn put 4 past them last season?

Think it would take players like Walcott & Ox to be on form for most of the season too to cross that divide

Tbf having the players in midfield on form should open up the wings for the wingers to find space and perform themselves. The opposition can't double mark everyone. :?

Starfish And what about Arsenal's defence?

Gibbs, Vermaelen, Koscielny and Sagna are good enough, it's just foolish to not have any competent back up. It would also be improved by the signing of M'Vila/return of Wilshere.

I agree that 'theoretically' the back four is solid, but Gibbs spends half of each season in the treatment room and Sagna has had his leg broken (I'm not sure if I've got this wrong) twice in less than a year and a half. and without decent fullbacks, and decent back up, they're always going to struggle.

The sale or return joke, as well as being tediously over-used by you, frimmers, seems a little bit pointless after a season in which Arsenal yet again dicked all over a Spurs side that flattered to deceive.

Whatever the lead, they had it where it counted, whereas Spurs' expensively-assembled squad finished in a shambles with no manager.

Do you think that Bale will cement the normal Spurs-Man Utd feeder club relationship, or will he go further afield?

two top four finishes in three years is not bad for a little club. and if levy coins it for bale fair play.

Spurs may be a little club in mentality, but they’re certainly not when it comes to the wages they pay out, so a failure to consistently secure Champions League football is unacceptable.
