We get these two and i'd say we have a competitive defence. Anyone who gets injured their replacement should be more than up to the task. I can't see him staying but can see Mills being one of the players who will step up to the plate like S Hunt did when we went up last time if he was to be given the chance. Think if we get a couple of additions who can make up the positions across the defence then we will be fine. It should be made the number one priority before we go chasing after any strikers or midfielders.

We need a LB regardless of Mills, he is shit and hopefully will be out the door

If the Carlos Sanchez signing isn't happening (its gone very quiet - and people have been distracted chasing a lost cause regarding a.n.other player

) then Steven N'Zonzi of Blackburn would be a good acquisition. Mauro Formica looked a good, creative player in spells last season too.

Just my opinion, But if David Wheater of Bolton hadn't got crocked on the last day of the season, he would have also been a decent signing.

Agree that Formica would be a good signing, I'm a big admirer, but it doesn't look like he'll be hanging around in the UK, couple of papers are linking him with Italy & Turkey.

Would let Hunt Church HRK go ...not sure any of them will/would make the step up ..

Creative midfielder ...Koren would be a good acquisition

Defence prb needs the most work....RB, LB and a couple of central defenders

In the PL you really need two players in each position. For example at CB it would be very dangerous to have no cover for Pearce and Gorkks.

If we are to be competitve we at least need a RB, a LB (I like Mills but think he needs a full season on loan at a Championship team as first choice to see if he is up to it - too much of a risk at PL level), two CB, at least one more defensive CM, an attacking midfielder and one or preferably two strikers. The only areas we are strong enough is at goalkeeper and on the wings. I make that a minimum of 7 and maybe 8 to come in (including Pog).

It's a long time to Jan transfer window without that strength in depth....

Yes, as he can play out wide but also through the middle. Saw him play for Stabæk in Norway and you could see that he was leagues above in terms of quality and that there was no way that the club would be able to hold on to him. It would be great if RFC snapped him up and perhaps even his ex-wing partner Alanzinho from Trabzonspor...now that would be one heck of a signing!!!
