I did read one newspaper (sorry can't remember which one so no link!) that stated QPR were going to do their disciplinary meeting either today or early next week as they ahd completed their investigation. If he gets sacked he may become a free agen, dependeant on whether QPR retain (AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! word escapes me) his playing credentials for want of the correct word. They may ask a fee if someone wants him. Personally, I seem to remember QPR began to backtrack in the days after the incident so I am not sure how this is going to play out.

As for whether we should have him? No. Too volatile and hot headed. Seems to have also been a disruptive influence wherever he went irrespective of his violent streak. He likes to give off the air of being intellectual but nutting someone is not how most perceive the phrase 'using your head.'

Can't have done - according to Joey he'd have walked into the England squad if it wasn't for his disciplinary issues

I'd rather take Alan Smith (who was at MK Dons)

For wrestling... the man spouts complete drivel on and off the pitch. He acts like a superstar... whereas he would be a good championship player at best in my eyes

I have it on fairly good authority that he's actually intelligent and articulate. He just has a massive problem with anger and a very very short fuse.

Well Sky are saying that the result of the internal enquiry at QPR is imminent, but Mr Barton seems to be in North Africa playing with balloons. Either he doesn't care or he already knows the result. I am going to say heavy fine but that's it. Still don't want him at our club.

Joey Barton has been fined six weeks' wages & stripped of his QPR captaincy following an internal investigation.

What a guess!!! I would presume the PFA will now step in, say it's unreasonable and get the fine reduced. Either way, he is still under contract to QPR so anyone would have to pay to get him.

like people have been saying for years now- if he cut the attitude and temper he would be a top-4 club player
