Think it was originally Sean Cummings who wanted to talk to him, mentioned it on Twitter, and then Sean Morrison said he couldn't get hold of him either, both had tried twitter and text. May be something but may be nothing.

Daily Mail

Reading, who have beaten Fulham to sign Pavel Pogrebnyak, also hope to pip them for Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes by offering Sean Morrison as a makeweight.

Reading are also looking at keeper Amine Lecomte at Lekhwiya of Qatar.

Maybe  ........ :D More borne out of an exasperated wait for info on the Pog situation whilst being stuck in the most boring meeting in the world. Meeting top tips:

1. Always check in advance to see if there is accessible wi-fi.

2. Make sure you use your Netbook or Laptop.

3. in Audiotorium style meeting venues always sit towards the back behind the tall bloke.

4. Keep both eyes on speaker while occasionally looking down for Twitter/HNA Updates.

5. If challenged by speaker, suggest you are making notes for team on 'best practices' raised at the meeting.

If he signs, let's hope he can join fellow Reading record signings in the fans hearts

Caskey, Asaba, Lita, Fae, Halford........

I thought he was shite.

Only played when he felt like it - Bright young talent, surrounded by future England internationals in the U21's, went to Reading ended up fat and at Notts County before he was 30. Says it all.

The free kick against Bournemouth which set up the Wigan semi-final, and resulted in their fans breaking the windows of every Reading Buses bus laid on for them outside is my personal Caskey highlight

Both his wiki page and Readings wiki page says he has moved for £6.5 plus Sean Morrison!! I think someone is jumping the gun a little here...

I think Sean Morrison gives us an advantage in that we can offer more than purely financial gain with a player proven to them.

I reckon NH planned signing Sean Morrison, knowing he wasn't going to make the first team, with the intention of loaning him out and using him as an incentive for future purchases from that club. The guy is a living legend. Just saying.

That part of the wiki page is rubbish! - as an example please see Jimmy Kebe's page (possibly been re-edited now, but he had allegedly won gold in every Olympic event and outrun a cheetah),

But what is interesting on there is Rhodes disciplinary record - 0 red cards & only 6 yellows in a career total of 180 appearances! that is impressive in itself! never mind the fact that he has scored 97 goals in that time.

Cheaper than a caviar blini at the Vlad Stad! Another coup for Nicky H against a backdrop of multi-million pound signings and exorbitant wages.

Odds on Rhodes coming here have also dropped to 1/2 now at some bookies.

If we do get him, that for me could spell the end for Hunt as well as Church. Hunt I think will stick around for a season, but I think what he can offer us is pretty limited. He's not an out and out goalscorer, but he is a worker. I can see him becoming 4th choice.

Glad i got my tenner in at 8/1 8)

With the 25 man squad rule in effect, surely we'll have 5 forwards? Roberts, Pog, Alfie, Rhodes and Hunt? If you're right then there really is more than meets the eye to Mcdermott. He has a ruthless streak in him.

Agreed. It would be a shame, because he's got an infectious personality, seems to be very popular, and is a shining example of the Reading mentality, but he would clearly struggle for a start in a 4-4-2, let alone any possible 4-2-3-1.

He has to. If he wants to keep us up, he can't afford to keep players in the 25 man squad just because they're nice guys if they can't produce the goods in the prem. I'm glad Brian is professional enough to realise that.
