Friday's Legacy Odds on Rhodes coming here have also dropped to 1/2 now at some bookies.

If we do get him, that for me could spell the end for Hunt as well as Church. Hunt I think will stick around for a season, but I think what he can offer us is pretty limited. He's not an out and out goalscorer, but he is a worker. I can see him becoming 4th choice.

Glad i got my tenner in at 8/1 8)

With the 25 man squad rule in effect, surely we'll have 5 forwards? Roberts, Pog, Alfie, Rhodes and Hunt? If you're right then there really is more than meets the eye to Mcdermott. He has a ruthless streak in him.

He has to. If he wants to keep us up, he can't afford to keep players in the 25 man squad just because they're nice guys if they can't produce the goods in the prem. I'm glad Brian is professional enough to realise that.

Hold fire there, he hasn't done it yet, and we haven't signed any strikers yet...

Since he is looking at bringing in a couple of strikers it's safe to assume a couple will fall by the wayside.

Pepe the Horseman Caskey was/is a bit of a legend though, no?

Yes

He had 1 great season out of how many? Good player but "legend".... not for me.

You are a fool then.

Which is more than fair - would value a striker that hasn't played in the top two divisions at about £3m.

All this £7m business is nonsense!

It might be fair but that's miles off what Huddersfield want for him.

What they want and what they can get are likely to be two very different things. The question is - do they need to cash in?

They're not even close. Our offer exceeds £4m plus Morrison but they want more.

I personally think they are out of touch if they want more for a player unproven in the Championship. How much have 20 goals a season goal scorers generally gone for in the Championship! Mmmm

The thing is they don't have to sell, that'll allow them to push price up.

He likes to listen to soul music before he goes 'into Church'.... I took that completely the wrong way!
