I'm sure he will sign for them, but if it's so clear-cut then why did he decide to take the weekend to think things over? Clearly more to it than many Scousers believe, and as many people have already said it's a fantastic sign of intent on Anton's part to have got Sig seriously considering us as an alternative to Liverpool.

It's not as easy as they seem to think. First of all he wants stability. Second of all he wants to play every week. Reading can offer both, and of course we've offered him a better deal on top. Liverpool might be a bit part role, and Rodgers might not get the time he needs.

But of course Liverpool is a massive club, with a rich history. He is close to both managers, but not as close to Rodgers as many seem to think he is.

It really isn't as straight forward as some think, but I can only see Liverpool being the winners here. They're just too bigger pull in my opinion. But I do know the offer we have made to him has been well received.

We have a chance, but I don't think anyone will be shocked if it goes Liverpool's way. But here's hoping!

He must have been in contact with his club, if a leak is going to come from anywhere before it's official, it's likely to be there. Seams reasonable that the German media could get hold of it first.
