I'll be doing a few North West ones, staying with Lancs Royal.

Probably be on Classifieds for the odd London one too.

I've already done Newcastle away in the Premiership, would defo go back. Been to Sunderland v Reading too, but that was Roker Park.

+1 for Wigan pubs, but not near the ground. George Orwell iirc???

ps sidetrack, the last time I went to Brentford away I was underage. I'd love to have a pint in the pubs on each of the four corners of that ground.

I suppose Anfield would be my first choice, then St James Park.

Negative_Jeff
Big Foot Top 3:

1) Fulham - cracking pubs and gr8 day out
2) Wigan - PLEASE stay up - see above
3) Liverpool / Everton - see above

* Negative_Jeff to thread please *

A bit late, just seen this I but can`t think of too many cracking pubs at Fulham. The Bricklayers Arms by the river at Putney is a cracker......if you can get in the door on match days. Otherwise the rest are mostly up the north west with daft kick off times.
Very depressing.

not like you to be miserable, Jeff.

ps, your round, remember?

For anyone going up to Old Trafford this season, you'll be pleased to know that away fans aren't being moved up to the third tier (as was trialled during the Aston Villa game last season).

Away fans won't move

Manchester United is disappointed to announce that, due to a delay in satisfying the requirements of the evaluation of the movement of away fans from the south-east quadrant to the third tier of the Sir Alex Ferguson stand, the proposed relocation cannot happen in time for the 2012/13 season.

The club has been asked for some further detailed analysis following a trial when Aston Villa came to Old Trafford in April, but unfortunately there is not the time for the club to do that work, conduct the season ticket renewal process, submit the proposals for approval and potentially implement the move before the start of next season.

Therefore, the club wish to reiterate that away fans will remain in the south-east quadrant in 2012/13. This also puts a hold on the proposed introduction of a singing section at Old Trafford.

Chelsea better be moved to a Sunday rather than a weeknight.

Depends what you are looking for.

For the occasion and experience of the game itself - Arsenal, the Manchesters, Newcastle etc. Obviously.

For the ground - Fulham. Along with Brentford, the best feeling.

Rubbish result though.
I think I'll wait for Barca away in the 2013/14 season. :)

Seriously though - with The Sig - Swansea.
With The Pog - Fulham.

Otherwise I'm hoping for a mid week business piss-up in Manchester.

Stoke. Going to be nice to walk for half an hour to an 'away' game rather than a three hour drive to a 'home' game.
