Royal With Cheese I feel like a bloke in the disco who thinks a stunner is giving him the eye to find out she's looking at the bloke next to you.

blueroyals The only reason he'd join Tottenham is for the money. So when did Gylfi suddenly become obsessed with money? That doesn't sound like the Gylfi we know. This could all be a leak from his agent to get Liverpool to up the contract their offering. Perhaps his agent is trying to get us to up our contract offering, and we responded by telling our journo to print that we're not interested and never have (much like what has happened in the past).

Jano In recent history they have finished about Liverpool almost every season. If they are losing Modric and/or Van der Vaart, Gylfi is almost certainly sure to be playing regularly, even more so if the rumours about the new manager are correct and he has spoken to whoever it might be and they have also said he would be playing regularly.

Redknapp, VDV and Modric gone. Those are three pretty big factors as to why they've finished so high up the table in recent years for a squad with a lot of deadwood and not as much quality as some of the teams around them. Liverpool's squad is much better than Tottenham's without VDV, Modric and Redknapp as manager and will probably finish above them next season if Tottenham's new manager doesn't have serious money to spend.
Gylfi's great but he's not as good as VDV. This new manager of theirs can do what the hell he wants when he gets appointed. That's why we thought all along he would go to a club where he knows and trusts the manager, not to managerless Tottenham who have offered him more £££££.

I thought it was largely accepted thast Andreas Villa-Boas was going to be their next manager, isn't the reason for the delay in naming/confirming him by Spurs is that there is an agreement with Chelsea that he will not take control of another English club before 1st July.

That shouldn't matter. Chelsea sacked him after all!

Reading4eva How do you know those figures. That would be a conversation had strictly in private. There wouldnt be one person making notes in that sort of thing. Unless you are his agent?

Simon's Church Not sure why he'd want to come back to the club that so cruelly forced him out of the place he so dearly loved.
